That is why I will not send my kids to daycare. I was in daycare and I was never hit by the teachers.

In the state of Ohio the law reads that it is okay to spank your child on the but and with clothes on. If you spank a child or hit a child anywhere else is child abuse. This daycare is inflicting corporal punishment on your child which is against the law. I am a licensed foster parent with the state of Ohio and I cannot for any reason spank a child or hit a child (which I wouldn't do anyway), no matter what they do. My suggestion to you is to first take your child to a different place, second talk to owner of the business and let them know what is going on, and third report them to your local police or the Department of Human Services.

As a childcare provider, i only have the child sit down and have a time out and only pop them on the hand because the mom said it was ok and only after they've pinched, kicked, or pulled hair a few times, it is used as a last resort. A timeout directly after the incident occurs works most times since i am not the mom.

I haven't heard of a daycare using physical punishment before. I would talk to the head of the childcare or look for another establishment.

Thats exactly why I dont send my child to daycare. I don't think its right to punish a child phyically period. Also there are way to many sick people in the world. I never leave my child with somebody I dont know.

I think it's about time you move on and find a new daycare center. If the provider is hitting your child, you can file charges against them.

They are not allowed to do so - you need to speak up, girl! Speak to the director of the daycare and be sure to let them know what is going on!

If a day care is hitting your child turn them in to CPS...I don't know where you live but here in the states corporal punishment is against the law.

OMG THIS CANNOT TAKE PLACE..IT IS TOTALLY NOT LEGAL...I WORK WITH KIDS WHO HAVE EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS, AND WE ARENT EVEN ALLOWED TO HOLD THEM DOWN, IT IS AGAINST THE LAW....SO SPANKING OR HITTING HANDS OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER AT A DAY CARE IS TOTALLY NOT RIGHT...YOU NEED TO GET YOUR KID FAR AWAY FROM THEM, AND THEM REPORT THEM TO THE STATE FOR ABUSING KIDS
