Genesis 12: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. God told Abraham this because out of Abraham came the Nation of Israel. But today the Nation of Israel has fallen and God blinded them because they rejected the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 11: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Today in the age of grace, God is deal with all men alike. There is only one way to be in God's favor and that is to believe and trust that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins. Galatians 3: 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Its in Daniel and yes, I believe, it does have to do with what we are seeing in the Israel conflict right now... its just the beginning of a culmination to the end. Start in Chapter 10, I believe, and go from there.. you need to read the full scope to get the big picture.

Gen12:1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
2 "I will make you into a great nation
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you."
Abram renamed Abraham to Isaac to Esau and Jacob to the 12 tribes.
