He came to the states 1970 on a working visa in 1976 he was married to my mother & when she passed he went back to the Philippines but let his visa expire. he wants to come back to the states. Can I help him from here or does he have to do it over there. He is 76 years old & is not inthe best of health. He needs better health care that only the U.S. can give. He is living on S.S.I. and im really not sure where to begin.

it has got to be harder now to get a visa than what it was then. contact by e mail the closest us embassy in the phillapines. the embassy are pretty good and often will reply with in 48 hours. they will guide you through all the documents you will need. its a long process now and they will want loads of paper work to support his application. i hope it works out well for you..i wish you all the luck..

There should be a US Embassy there, who he will have to talk to in person. Their rule are really weird now since 9/11. My sister is in Denmark and has trouble getting back home even tho she is a US citizen. GL tho n BW
