You follow the teachings of Paul, for the most part. Jesus never really taught anything original. His whole philosophy can be summed up in "be nice to people."

Wow, what a profound man.

If he were alive today, he would have his own infomercial.

They don't even follow the 'be nice to people' rules.

Doesn't it seem odd that Paul would suddenly decided to become a christian? Did he see the writting on the wall and decide, if you can't beat 'em join 'em and stone someone else.

Now that you have shown your scornfulness, let's do some thinking. What did Mohammed teach, or what about Shiva?, or Cali, or Buddha, or Moses or many others? These people did teach, they showed by both action and by word. Confuscius was not a deity but a simple man with a great mind and wisdom. The Cao-Dai religion incorporates several different religions together because of their similarity, and Victor Hugo and Joh Kennedy are regarded as Saints. I am Buddhist but I find fault that one can not accept Jesus as good person and repetition of a lesson is never wrong, it reinforces the thought....your teachers do it all the time. People's beliefs are sacred to them and to insult or slander them is beneath you. My friends are Muslim, Jewish, Hindu and Christian and I would feel ashamed of my stupidity for insulting their beliefs....it works for them.

Actually, His teaching would be summed up as "Obey the will of the Father" (Matthew 7:21). His teaching was quite different from the Mosaic law (Matthew 5:21-48).

What is the will of the Father? That's why we have the rest of the New Testament, and not just a single verse.

Such a summary of Christ's teachings is clear evidence that you have not studied them. He taught people how they should live there lives, which of course included "being nice", but there were many other principles illustrated in ways that demonstrated true wisdom and understanding. His main message was to worship his Father above all, to pray for his Kingdom, and to follow his commandments. Paul was a follower of Christ, not himself.

It is obvious you are not a Christian, so you do not know anthing about God or His word or his Son Jesus. So keep your opinions to yourself.

You personally do not want to recieve the word of God, then this is what Jesus has to say about that..

Luke 9:5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Leave the Christians alone. No one is bothering you.

Paul was a bondservant of Christ as he called himself and called by Christ to preach His Doctrine. The Bible is Christ's words. Jesus clearly said that He was before Abram and before the foundation of this world. Jesus is God. The Bible clearly state in 1John2:22-23 that whoever denies Jesus is God or the Christ is the anti-Christ

Amateur. Lie down before you hurt yourself.

Really, you should do some reading before you go to town with these questions. They make you look like an ignoramus.

The second link below is to an appreciation of the uniqueness and significance of Jesus' teaching written by a Czech Marxist (and atheist). It might show you that there's a little more to it than "be nice."

Why am I wasting my time...

Christians like most people follow the rules/ laws that are convenient. "Oh Christmas is coming, let's go to church" or "Hey, there is a cop, I need to slow down". I don't know about having an infomercial, but I think he would be a hippie.

Christianity can be summed up in trying to be christlike....but we are imperfect, wheras Christ is blameless..."for all have sinned" "there is none righteous, no not one" I try to follow Jesus and learn from his ways.. Paul was a man of God, whom God spoke to directly, because all is God-breathed. Essentially we are following Christ, God, Holy Spirit, when we read the book of Acts or Revalation.

It goes beyond just being "nice" to people ---

Mar 11:15¶And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

Mar 11:16And would not suffer that any man should carry [any] vessel through the temple.

Mar 11:17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Because only Jesus Christ was PERFECT....True Christians do try to follow his teachings, but mortal man can not do this without sin.....That is why Jesus died on the cross for us. We can only do the best that we can and praise him....God Bless You All!
