Didn't Douglas Adams make this point in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"? If God exists, then he knows he exists, therefore he doesn't need to believe in his existence, therefore he has no faith. BUT faith is required for God to exist, therefore -- POOF! -- God ceases to exist.
Love it.

Technically, if "God" (or whatever) doesn't believe in a higher power than [Him]self, this doesn't make him an atheist. Obviously he believes in [Him]self and so he believes in a god.
The definition of an atheist is one who believes that no god exists. So if God doesn't believe that he exists, that would contradict the concept of "God" thinking anything at all (if he doesn't exist, he can't think). If anything, God is a monotheist - one who believes that there is one god, namely himself. In this way, those who believe that there is only one god, whatever their dogma, are all thinking like God. So in essence, every Jew, Muslim, Christian, etc. will be saved because the only true premise for salvation is that they believe as God does - that he exists.
*Note: someone said that the definition of atheism is a belief in a higher power, and that if God does not believe that there is anyone higher than him, than he is an atheist. Honestly, that's purely a question or argument of semantics. "Higher power" is generally agreed to mean a power higher than that of the average human. Since God could be called the highest power, then a belief in himself would deny the possibility that he is an atheist (not to say that he is religious at all; one can believe in their own existence without being religious).

God doesn't deny His own existence, that wouldn't make much sense. Being an atheist just means you think there is no God, although you can't ever prove that, but that's what atheism is, the active belief that God, or any god, doesn't exist. God Himself, however, can't deny His own existence. If He could, it would mean He, an all-knowing being, wasn't aware of His own divine attributes.

The definition of atheist (by Christians) is believing in just yourself. So by that, he is correct. After this, Christians may have to start defining atheism, as what it is. A belief that there is no god.

Well, if atheism is the lack of belief in a higher power, then God by definition has to be an atheist since there is no higher power than him. (If you buy into all that stuff).

theism is the belief in a higher power
Atheism is the absence of that belief, thats what the A means
IF God is real, he believes he is eternal and there is no power above him, so he is an Atheist
