If so how do you deal with not eating the things you're not suppose to eat?

I'm Lactose Intolerant, I usually find other things on the menu so I can avoid Lactose Intolerant things. I don't like to take Lactic pills because that isn't helpful, and it is annoying. I but Lactic milk, and it taste so much better than regular milk, and it is a lot healthier. One thing I can't give up is Cheesecake, and sometimes Nachos hehe, they both are just to good!

Just try to remember how you will feel if you eat something you're not suppose to, and maybe that will help you to choose something right. Also if you embrace the fact that you are lactose Intolerant, you are cutting out a lot of fattening foods that people who aren't Lactose Intolerant eat everyday, and that could result in you losing weight if you want to. ^_^

God Bless!

I am lactose-intolerant. If you live in the US, there are many products available for those who are lactose-intolerant but would still like to eat dairy or dairy-like products.

To allow you to eat regular dairy products, as others mention, you can take Lactaid pills just prior to eating a dairy products. I would recommend the Lactaid FastAct pills as being the best. You can buy them over-the-counter at the grocery store in the US. You can also get a free sample from: http://www.lactaid.com/ .

Another option is to get products that already have Lactaid in them. For example, there is Lactaid milk that can be purchased in the dairy case, and there is also Lactaid cheese (shredded) now available in some stores. Breyer's even makes lactose-free ice cream. Some people who are very strongly lactose-intolerant can't eat these products, but you can try and see what works for you.

Lastly, you can alternatively buy dairy-like products that are made with non-dairy ingredients but taste similar to dairy products. Examples are: Tofutti ice cream (made from tofu - tastes very good!), Rice Milk or Soy Milk (instead of drinking cow milk), Soy cheese (instead of cow's milk cheese). You can also get soy-based yogurt even!

Good luck! There are also many dairy-free cookbooks with more ideas!

Well to tell you the truth, I am. But I get a capuccino everyday. It just not always makes me sick, just sometimes. It is more psychological than anything. For example, when I have something to worry about, or I am nervous.. it gets worse.

I supposed a doctor will suggest me never drink milk or eat cheese, I simply can't but I do not do it often, of course, it could be impossible for me.. I 'd be sick everyday. Just once in a while for me is OK... and you know real cappuccino doesn't have a lot of milk just a lot of foam.
