I want to know why people think that every Mexican is poor and ilegal. My Famiy is Mexican and my Dad owns three buisnesses and we arnt poor and all my Family came here legally. Not Mexicans are illegals and like to work in jobs no body likes. I mean it is true that my people are crossing the boarder illeally and they are always in frount of homedepo looking for jobs.But i want to know why they think about that with all Mexicans. WHat i think y did my people came here if they are making less here in America then where they were b4.

if people didn't have the Mexicans to blame to stamp on it would be another race see alot of people are followers which is so sad they don't have there own mind so they follow like little lambs to the slaughter

The show on the travel channel 30 days as an illegal immigrant explains a lot about your question. Some people's lives are so bad in Mexico that they dont have a home, and unlike america, there is no shelter or food pantry to go to, they hear about people living the "american dream" and dont relize how hard it can be, so they just sneak into america thinking it will solve their probelms, but it doesnt. Now there is a big debate as you know about illegal immigrants.

probably because the politicians fed it to them. In any fascist system there must be those that are de-humanized so that the masses can have a collective feeling of superiority. Since terrorists are not a clearly definable group, Mexicans became the scapegoat. Fortunately, this will pass; unfortunately, it's got another 2 1/2 years to go at least.

The anti-Mexican fervor is growing in this country because once they come to this country and become citizens, they are Americans and have no business waving the Mexican flag because they aren't in Mexico anymore. Ditto speaking Spanish - you should speak English if you choose to live in this country.
Your family is to be commended for what they have accomplished since you have elected to become Americans of Mexican descent - not Mexicans who are living in this country illegally. I have friends who are Americans of Mexican descent and some of them actually get angry if you call them Mexican - they let you know in no uncertain terms - they are Americans! And that's the guts of the problem - once you become a citizen of this country, you throw off your allegiance to where you came from since you're no longer a citizen of that country.

People stereotype and assume that all Mexicans are illegal and poor. People also make the mistake of assuming that all hispanics are Mexican when they could be Guatemalan, Venezuelan, etc. My dad is also a legal Mexican but people have been prejudiced against him.

becuase people always just look at the bad in people. and only the bad. if once burned than your always burned. people only think bad about mexicans or any other ethnic group for that matter becuase all you ever hear about them is bad s h i t. all you ever see in movies is that we are in gangs or getting arrested or selling illegal drugs, or that we are illegal even though not everyone is. you see that so offten that you cant see past them to the people that are so succesful and are doing so well like for ex. you dad. some people just need to open up their eyes more and look past all that prejudicim.
