Cut down on sugar, get him checked out by doc, avoid medication if possible. Kids are hyper to an extent. Let them be who they are and avoid meds unless it is affecting their schooling or causing harm in another way. Unless it is a severe disorder, they will usually grow out of it. My kids climb the walls after a sugary treat

Most kids especially boys seem to be hyperactive. If you are really concerned take him to the doctor and have them test him for ADHD.(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) Please do because if he is truly ADHD they have meds that can help plus he would benefit from behavioral therapy. There is NO shame is getting your kid help. You would be amazed to know how many people suffer with this. ADHD is more common in boys than girls. ADHD kids are exceptionally intelligent but get pushed out of the way because they can not focus like others. They tend to get into way more trouble than usual because people just don't understand how to deal with them. Usually, with behavioral therapy the meds can be given in very small doses. My son is ADHD and he only takes 30mgs. once a day and only on school days. It helps him focus and his teachers can see a major difference in his work ethic and performance. I do agree with limiting his sugar intake and watching his diet. But, sometimes that's just not enough. Good luck, sweetie.

Probably, just reduce his sugar intake (to nil if possible) and introduce more veggies. Easier said than done, but if you work at it you'll probably notice a big difference.
Oh, and I don't believe you should get him tested for ADHD! Kids are overdiagnosed for that. There are so many kids on prescription drugs for no reason (and no, I'm not a scientologist LOL) We don't know the long term health effects by putting our kids on drugs b/c we find them too hyper. Most things like that can be controlled with diet and learning.

All boys usually are. They are crazy then they settle down. Just make sure he is getting all of his energy out by playing outside for an hour after daycare if not in daycare take him outside for a total of 3 hours a day to get the energy out. They get bored really easily.

you should see a pediatrician..my grandson was and he has been diagnosed with attention deficit hyper. Do yourself and him a favor..If that is his problem a pill will quickly correct that..He may just be a very active child naturally and will slow do as he gets older.
