Very, very good. If you don't have mostly As and if you haven't taken advanced classes, then you probably will not get in.
You'll also need good SAT scores, and you'll have to do well on the application.

In the 60's a professor told a friend of mine that he needed all A's. Still, the students at MIT were likely 10 times smarter than he was and would likely work 10 times harder and therefore would be about 100 times more effective. He said that one problem was that students dropped out because they could not maintain straight A's as in high school (ego problem?). My friend went to U Mass and got all A's! Perhaps things have changed. Good luck.

good query dear,you need to score 1580 in gre out of 1600 if u are not from iit i mean premium college ,if u are from iit u need 1550 and rank 1 in all semesterand research projects and research publications and all confrenes paper presented etc etc so overall profil should be brilliant i am non iitians and no iitiains cannot get untill they do a breakthrough in research whcih is tuff as we are not good in physics so fo it if u are not the very best sorry but that is the fact and pls vote for me i mean i told u the truth atleast

MIT little question, because they're more effective nicely nicely-known, notwithstanding not because they're more effective constructive academically. CalTech is in a similar fashion as sturdy in words of ability. that's almost which college is more effective constructive nicely-known.
