If you dye your hair often & don't condition it well, yes it can get brittle. Try using demi permanent dyes, they last just as long but they don't contain all of the harsh chemicals, or just use temporary colors, they'll just wash out so they don't harm the hair. As for going gray earlier, that is a total myth, your hair will turn gray when it's ready, dyeing your hair has nothing to do with it.

it can become very brittle yes. it will not make your hair go grey earlier. that is more a genetice issue. however the amonia and peroxie with lighten your hair so after time when the dye washes out your natural color will be lighter until it all grows out.

I've been coloring my hair for nearly 20 years. Did it myself for a long time, but for the past 2 1/2 yrs. have had it done professionally. My hair was going gray and I just got sick of it! Anyhow, I think it's in pretty good condition considering. I try to take care of it by not overusing appliances like blow dryers, curling irons, things like that.

As to will it make you go gray earlier...no way! The two things aren't connected at all.

Your hair won't go grey earlier. But dyeing really damages your hair.

its better to keep the natural hair and its colour as it is. even the usage of shampoo to be limited to 2 days in a week. What ever u are going to apply to colour ur hair, is made of chemicals, and its end result it anyway not good.

It will definitely make it brittle. Whatever you do don't overprocess your hair. Nothing looks worse that velcro for hair.
