I was preparing a chicken for dinner. I was polite the several times that I told them I wasn't interested.

So, I told started dancing around the couch pretending to do a voodoo chicken dance.
The looks on their faces was awesome. I soo wish I had a camera.

I have always been polite when I told them I wasn't interested.

I did not stereotype, I am truly not interested.

This question is propagandist bigotted anti-Witness nonsense.

Jehovah's Witnesses try to visit each home in their territories at least twice each year. They have no interest in wasting time with a householder who unequivocally explains that she is not interesting.

The typical Jehovah's Witness knocks on hundreds or thousands of doors each year. He has seen nudity, anger, supposed paganism, and other theatrics. The simplest thing to end a conversation with them is to say you are not interested and gently close the door.

Usually they are pretty decent about leaving for the most part. I just tell them that I'm Buddhist (which I am), and they go on their merry way. Every once in a great while I'll get some new ones pop up, as they either have a big turn-around, or they like to change up. I don't like the fact that they are trying to preach to other people. I prefer to think that change has to come from the inside first. But since they are following their own path, I have to respect their beliefs, however estranged they may be from my own faith. Compassion is the first step toward enlightenment.

I have a totally different pespective after visiting people door to door. I used to never ever want anybody bothering me at my home, how dare they invade my sacred property and home. Now I am polite and hear them out before saying I am or am not interested in whatever they peddle.

Keep in mind a couple of points please - if you read this and are serious:

The first since asked is how to stop them from coming to your door - All you have to do is tell them that you do not want to be visited again and they will notate that in the service reports and respect your wishes. No tresspassing, no solicitors etc.

Now for point two: JW's never try and sell anything, it;s all free and it's news about the new system that is around the corner and Gods kingdom. I tried to disprove them and argue and found that their approach to bible learning is the right one.

Next time you see one at the bus stop, donut shop, laundry mat or at your door ask one to give you some proofs and food for thought.

they were just probably thinking that you had a demon on you or that you got crazy or something....because we are not surprise about how people behave when we go to preach to them the good news about God's kingdom...and is our responsability to teach this good news, so people wont be able to say that they didn't got the chance to hear about God's kingdom purpose for all humankind.....and we are not trying to make every person a servant of Jehovah God, but only to those who are ready to live forever in a paradise on earth with all God's blessings and Jehovah is the one who knows who deserves to hear the good news....all those who don't pay any attention to us, will be destroyed by Jehovah God, when the Harmagedon comes....for now, is a pleasure to be in your door, but sorry if we are bothering you but is a command from Jehovah to go and preach the good news....maybe when you are not too busy you could pay attention to us....Please read this verses. Thanks.(Revelation 16:14-16; 2 Peter 3:8-10; Mathew 24:14,18-20; 6:9-13; Ezekiel 33:8-11...)

I told them I was an atheist and was not interested. They asked if they could leave their tract, and respectfully went on their way. I don't recall ever having to "make" a Witness leave the property. I've even had interesting discussions with a few. Come to think of it, I don't recall any non-mainstream religious folk acting like pimps for their God.

My neighbors were Jehovah's witnesses and always sending their friends to my door. Once I answered after coming out of the shower in a towel. For some reason they never came again!

I ask them about their founder and the "miracle" wheat he conned people into buying and was found guilty of in court. Also the time he claimed that Christ was coming in 1914 and most JWs sold their homes and property and gave it to him. When Christ did not come he claimed only he saw him and then lost 2/3 of his membership. Plus the other times he and his top people in his religion were found guilty of false prophecies and statements in court too. This tends to end the conversations quickly.
