If I had reason to believe that such came from God, I would.
However, God has given us His Word, and it does teach that there's a heaven and a hell. No matter how much some people don't like that or believe otherwise, the facts don't change.

Well, even if God was the most greedy rotten sinful bast*rd in the universe, I would still worship Him because He has all the power and could squish me like a little bug.
I like this analogy from the show "Malcolm in the Middle". I could go outside and step on ants all day. I could drown them, blow them up, burn them, or hit them with a shovel. They could be praying to me all that time and I wouldn't hear a thing. Even if I could hear their pleas for mercy I probably won't stop beating the crap out of them because its so much fun to have that much power over an entire civilization. I think God is the same way. No matter how much praying you do, you are not going to change His mind. Whatever God wants, He gets. And don't think for a second that everything He wants is good for you. In the end, all you can do is hope that whatever you are doing is making God not want to hit you with that shovel.
It doesn't matter what kind of person God is. All that is important is that He has all the power and there is nothing you can do to stop Him. Amen.

Difficult, clever question! But think of this: would you have learned obedience from your father if he never rewarded you or warned you of the consequences of wrong action? Would you have survived if he had not warned you, as you played near the electric mains, "burny - burny"?
Most times when we see God speaking about punishment it is more accurate to see it as warning against the natural consequences of our action. In 2 Peter 3:9 we are reminded that God "is not willing that any should perish": his whole goal is to rescue all of us, in spite of ourselves!.
I am personally SO glad that God HAS demonstrated the good and the bad of following his will -- I know myself well enough to be quite sure I would miss out on the great blessing that is mine by geing his child!

People who follow a religion just to avoid going to "hell" are not in it for the right reason. Truly celebrated people who are considered "holy" (Mother Theresa, John Paul II, the Dali Lama) followed teachings to better themselves and the world around them. Not to avoid hell. So if there was no heaven or hell, truly good people would remain good because it is for unselfish reasons while those who are just following the "rules" to go to heaven probably would slack since there would be nothing for them to gain in return.
Just my opinion. Love is caring, love is kind and love is unselfish.

is this a trick question? the bible is filled to the overflo concerning "hell"and heaven.
the word hell is used in alot of bible's also" the grave" "the world of the dead"and so on
the hebrew word "she'olh"and the greek word"hai'des refer not to an individual burial
place, but to the common grave of dead mankind.ECCL9:5,10 also PS.146:4.so you see
people do not go to some firey HELL to be tormented forver, but to the grave, where
they are conscious of nothing at all.gods word is true and the bible is harmonious thru-
out. well out of space,so I guess heaven will have to wait......for now,

Are we talking about someone being sent now in our days or are we talking about if He sent someone other than who He has sent in the past? I am assuming that you are saying if God sent someone now in our time and in our day, and I could be wrong, but this will be the basis of my answer. In one word I will tell you No. Not neccissarily because they don't preach Heaven and Hell, but for other reasons. First of all, any message that is sent from God through someone has to fulfill the ultimate test. Whatever message they have or whatever prophecy they give must stand the test of the bible. All things can be tested of the bible if it doesn't coincide then what they preach or teach is false. Another test of the bible concerns prophecy. If the prophet tells us of things to happen it did not come from God unless it comes fulfilled 100%. The Bible tells us this, that for it to come from God it must come to pass without fail 100%.
Don't forget that Jesus said "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many." We are warned to be very cautious of people who come in the name of God and to test everything they say with what is written in the bible. If it fails this test then chances are they are not of God and their only goal is to lead you away from Him.
Look in the world, what you ask has already been answered in history. Many have come claiming to be prophets and messangers of God and many have followed them, but there are many who are false. Prime examples David Koresh, Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, etc.

Well let's see I am Jewish, so I do not therefore believe in Hell, nor the Christian concept of heaven you seem to be referring to. So my answer would be a resounding yes; I would follow his word.

Probably yes
I cannot think of what the messages would be... or why God would need Prophets if he was not trying to guide us to Heaven to be back with him.

Well it depends, if he still sent his son to die for us, and rose from the dead and did everything the same, he just didn't tell us about heaven or hell or punishment, I probably would believe.
I don't know to just have something to believe in or what but I probably would.=)

God said there is a heaven. He called it paradise. When Jesus was nailed on the cross, he told one criminal who was repenting that he would be with Jesus that day in Paradise. There is a hell because if Jesus said there is paradise, who are we to question the validity of hell?
