The aspartame molecule ( known popularly as nutrasweet) is known to be toxic, causing drug interactions, unexplainable medical conditions, medical conditions that mimic multiple scleroisis, and a possible link to increased obesity. If you knew that real medical research was out there and easily accesed, would you look it up, and boycott aspartame laced products? Would you tell your friends and family, and pass the info along? If you disagree with this reearch, please cite your opposing research source.

and it also needs to be noted that because political clout was used to get this on the market, political clout is also used to make sure that "information" debunking it is out there, and that the FDA is blocked from stating WHY for 16 years it was not allowed on the market. FDA, TIME magazine, and other non-medical information is propaganda

Donald Rumsfeld CEO of Searle( aspartames maker) pused it and with the help of Ronald Reagan, blocked the FDA from fighting them, wich it initially tried to do.

Thank you Opus! I was just going to post that.

Some lame brained idiot got my nephew's step mother started on this and he's diabetic. What's more dangerous to a diabetic, aspertame or sugar? Ummm...sugar!

Also, I had a NUTRITIONIST tell me when I was PG with my middle child that aspartame is the only artificial sweetener proven NOT to cross the placenta and harm your unborn child.

yes, I did know that. Also if you are pregnant, you should never use an artificial sweetener such as aspertame. It distorts the development of the unborn child...
If it gives you a headache or stomach ache, you are actually probably allergic to it also.

I also have heard that artificial sweetened products are harmful. I am no professional on the subject, but I avoid those products. I prefer natural products in all cases, over man-made products.
