He and I were very good friends for many years but somehow lost contact while he was continuously moving for his military career. I think of him and his wife daily and hope they are safe and doing well. If anyone knows a way to find and communicate with a military officer, I would greatly appreciate your help.

I called the number given to me by Cecil but a woman's voice mail answered. Is it possible to contact Cecil to find out how she was able to answer my question?

This may be a longshot but, have you tried writing to ty.b.kopke@usmc.mil ?

Here is a link to a page to help with locating Marine personnel
http://www.usmc.mil/marinelink/ind.nsf/locator

NOTE I was thinking of a longshot email address...not one I found but one that anyone with half a brain could deduce from the format used by the Marine Corps

The number Cecil gave is freely available on infospace under this heading:
United States Government - U S Marine Corps Recruit Depot
Beaufort, SC 29902

can we say invasion of privacy? Identity theft? you have NO RIGHT WHTSOEVER to be giving out contact information of someone without their express permission. and in cases like an open internet forum such as Yahoo answers, how can you trust that the question being asked is legit?

in line with the Marine Corps fraternization coverage you're easiest allowed to socialize interior the 6 divisions, prevalent officers, self-discipline grade officers, business enterprise grade( including warrants) workers nco's, nco's and junior enlisted. so very almost if youre now no longer in one among those divisions you're actually no longer allowed. inspite of the actual undeniable fact that does it take place, specific. you've a 24yr historic 2d Lt. and a 22yr historic Cpl. its gonna take place. i understand from inner maximum experience my Lt. has long long gone eating with us. maximum in all probability now no longer on city despite if he has long long gone. it occurs continuously, despite if i say if your gonna do it be sure its at someones house or solid out of the backside self-discipline.
