Many people call walmart "evil" because walmart will move into small areas and monopolize the business and put smaller and/or home-run businesses out of business.

The Walton Family are evil. Sam Walton is remembered as a kindly old christian guy with a small town smile and a mouth which spit out patriotism. I recall him touting "American Made" products at his aw-shucks stores. Trying finding anything made in America there now. How christian are you when your five kids are among the 10 richest pigs on earth? When your daughter Alice drives around drunk, running over and killing people?
Walmart is draining American's tax dollars (real, middle-class Americans, not the untaxed rich who hide most their dough off-shore) by paying their employees so cheaply that a majority of them must get food stamps to feed their families.
WalMart has ruined Millions of manufacturing jobs in America by becoming so big and important an account that their avaricious demands first forced manufacturers to make cheaper quality products, then lay off workers and finally move to China or India where they can enslave and pollute workers in unsafe environments.
WalMart has gutted Main Street, small town America by setting up their locations miles from any town's traditional center, on cheaper properties, selling their cheap crap intended to put all the mom and pop, small businesses under. This is why so many towns look like ghost towns.
WalMart is America's enemy, they are nothing more than Communist China's outlet, they hate American workers and don't for one minute think that they have anything but the worst intentions for a country that they race to make a third world nation.

I do not think Walmart is evil, however the flood of their stores have ran out thousands of the good old Mom and Pop shops where you had loyalty and life long customers it was very important during the depression because people traded with another to make it to live through that terrible time.Could imagine Walmart trading some eggs for flour Not happening I miss the good old days when there was more a sense of community and every one was not out to step on the little guy but give them a hand up not out.As for the employees where else are all those people going to find work with Walmart taking over as it has.I shop at Walmart on occasion but I really try to give my business to those others in the community.

"People also believe Walmart is evil, b/c they forced workers to work overtime while off the clock. Women and minorities where not promoted within the company. American manufactures feel they are evil b/c almost everything is made abroad. Charities feel they are evil b/c the family is extremely wealthy, the Walton Siblings have a combined net worth that is higher than Bill Gates...yet combined Sam Walton and the siblings have given less in their lifetimes that Bill Gates gives to charities in a single year."
Do you represent any of these people? They do not force their employees to work overtime without pay. They Do have alot of foreign made goods but so does everyother corporation like walmart, (i.e. Target, K-mart, Koles). The Corporation donates hundreds of millions of dollars every year to charities and local non profit organizations. Walmart makes it possible for the low to middle class income people to have nice things that they may not be able to have because of high retail prices at department stores. And the pay isn't that bad for what you have to do. My husband and I both work for walmart and we can afford to pay our morgage on a brand new house, (only 3 years old and its not a mobile), car payment, insurance, grocieries, utilities, and we still have enough to have some fun. And no we haven't been working there more than 3 years. There are more opportunities to advance in that company then there is in anyother company i've ever seen. 70% of its management are composed of people that started out as the cashiers and the cart pushers. I work there I have made friends there and I shop there. No its not a cushy job that I can sit on my butt all day, but at least I have job security unlike alot of people. So before you say Walmart is evil based on your opinions alone get all of the story. I'm not saying its a magical happy place but without Wal-mart our economy wouldn't be what it is today.

Wal-mart's evil because they take away business from smaller businesses that need the money and support. You could look at it the way some people view illegal immigrants, they say they take our jobs because they'll do it for less, which is what wal-mart does. Ok so technically that's capitalism, not evil, but it certainly hurts a lot of people. Too many corporations look at profit not people

I labored at Wal Mart for 7 years. I were given extra ideal wages there than i ought to are turning out to be at different similar jobs. Wal Mart replaced into sexist in who they could promote when I first all set to work there, yet that has replaced huge time! And the change befell lengthy beforehand this "WalMart is Evil" crap all started. no man or woman have EVER requested me to artwork off the clock! (yet i replaced into instructed to take off the WalMart smock if i did not favor to help shoppers on my lunch damage) i replaced into under no circumstances allowed to pass a lunch damage! The lunch breaks may were at unusual hours (to accommidate an unpredicted rush) yet I continuously were given my lunch damage. because the agenda criteria of a retail branch save, maximum of their workers are area-time, hence do not qualify for coverage. yet the position did we get the theory that empolyees owe us coverage? They owe us pay for the artwork we do! workers CAN vote to have a union, Walmart purely campaigns bigtime to the employees that they don't choose unions, so that they have got not voted for unions yet. you could frequently tell once you're in a organization the position workers have unions because the service is so crappy. Why pass out of your thanks to do your proper if the slug who does particularly sufficient get a similar pay & similar promotions? All my adventure as a WalMart worker replaced into that that is a spectacular position to artwork in case you want operating with the commonly used public, have a versatile agenda (or are available in for weekends & evenings), and both favor to easily suppliment different income (i replaced right into a change instructor for a lengthy time period & had a daycare for a lengthy time period) or favor to climb the ladder into administration. As a shopper, Walmart is the first position I keep. you won't be able to locate one position that has each and every thing, yet Walmart comes pretty close. and frequently on the proper value. All this "WalMart is Evil" stuff is a secret to me!

That's true but a billion dollar company such as Wally World can afford to pay much more and provide good health coverage for its employees. Also, I can't be 100% certain of this, but I've heard that Wally World gets its goods from China - that means support of a Communist government.

no the people who work at wal-mart are not evil.....Wal-mart though squeezes it's vendors/suppliers to doing exactly what they want the way they want it and they dictate what price they are going to pay.....also they open up walmarts in places that have little stores that can not possibly compete with them so all the mom & pops shops close up and all remaining is Wal-mart.....If you ever get the chance try watching a documentary on Wal-mart and see what you think......
Great question though...

Yeah, but that doesn't mean the Wal-Mart has to treat them like crap. Next time your in a crappy job and they treat you like Sh*t just remember your their by choice and you have no rights what so ever for a better life. Yeah, that doesn't sound right, does it? That is why I protest Wal-Mart and have not and will never buy something from them. Those are just my values.
