I'm a Christian and I don't think I'm better than anyone else. From what I've noticed in society its the individual person who has a "I'm better than everyone" complex, its not what the religion is about at all.
Sure some people use the religion as an ego boost but it totally goes against what Christianity stands for. We are supposed to be humble, if you read what it says in the bible.
Christians are still sinful human beings just like everyone else on the planet and anyone thinking they are better has personal issues.

Some seem to truly believe that. Why you say,Well because Christians, like those who follow other religions tend to believe that their religion is the "right" religion when in actuality their faith makes them blind to many proven concept that liberat the world from ignorance, inadvertanly making themselves foolishly ignorant, But they don't care because their christians and are crtical of other people perspectives and opinions. They tend to beileve that life is meaningless without "god". and those who aren't of said faith, or believe in what they believe will parish and are therefore not worth putting energy into. i find that most christian are very self-centered and beleive so strongly in there own faith that there is no reason to acknowledge that there is the possiblity the are wrong, and full of sh1t. Which could be the case for every religion ...You take on the attribute of your enviorment and Christians are truly no better than any other faith cause they all have the same basics core fundamentals, Humanity's variations on religion creates a shade of grey where different versions of the same faith are created. But they all think they're better than everyone else... it's not nessesarily a bad thing, it is what it is. Besides a upholds the competive nature in mankind.
truthfully I have no idea- sounded like it made sense though, huh?

First you have to define Christians. My friends tell me that the Roman Catholics that slaughtered all the heretics weren't "real" Christians. The Roman Catholics of the Inquisition weren't "real" Christians. The Germans of WW-II weren't "real" Christians. Those who burned witches on the stake weren't "real" Christians.
So, yes, if you exclude all those evil people who call themselves Christians and include only those who don't sin, I suppose you could say they're better than other people. On second thought, Christians do sin, but Jesus forgives them and then all is well with the world. Too bad Jesus cancelled all those laws about asking forgiveness from the one you've harmed, and about making amends, and vowing not to repeat the sin...
On second thought, I guess Christians aren't really better than other people, but they are forgiven! All is well with the world!!!
“It has been told you, O mortal, what is good, and what the Eternal requires of you - Only this: to do justly, and love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:1

The bible teaches that if a person pursues a relationship with God, and is willing to do what God commands him to do, he is then in a position to receive certain blessings that a person who refuses to serve God will not receive. This does not necessarily make him a better person, God created all humans the same. Picture it this way, a company offers two people to come work for them. The same pay and benefits are offered to both people. One person accepts and the other doesn't. The one who accepted will receive the pay and benefits of working for that company while the other doesn't.

Absolutely not, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. From Romans 3:
21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
People may think that Christians think of themselves as better than everyone else, but the truth is, a Christian is the first to admit to his or her sinful, imperfect nature. We don't believe we are worthy of the fact that God loved us so much that he sacrificed his beloved son to redeem us from our sin. Listen to some of the things we pray all the time, such as this line from the Ave Maria: "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for US SINNERS now and at the hour of our death." Pick up a copy of the Book of Common Prayer and read some of the prayers of the people; we're constantly affirming how unworthy we are, how imperfect we are, and how we really need and desire God's forgiveness. And it is that forgiveness that lightens our hearts and brings us real, abiding joy. Many people might misinterpret our joy in God as a belief that we are perfect, but don't make that mistake.
We aren't better. More aware, perhaps, of our flawed humanity, but not better. By no stretch of the imagination. I can't emphasize it enough.

Since we know the truth, when we sin, it is a worse offense than for non Christians. Following ones conscience makes one a better person...but we are all sinners. We are however better than persons who commit sins against the Holy Spirit because those people are lost and cannot be saved. Mentally deciding to hate God is an example of this sin.

No one is better than any other person, Christian or otherwise. As a Christian I believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, The Holy Trinity, and the two greatest commandments. To love the Lord, my God with all my heart, all my soul and every fiber of my being. To love my neighbor as myself, so I'm no better or no worse than my neighbor. Peace

I consider myself a Christian, and God did not create anyone better than anyone else. He loves us all equally. I feel no better than my neighbor, my fellow Christians, and yes even atheists. God gave you the life. What you do with it is up to you.

The Bible says "For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)...
Christians aren't any better, just saved from their sins... anyone can be, if they just accept Jesus into their lives... He doesn't reject anyone that comes to Him.
