In the beginning there was Adam and Eve....how and when did all the different races and colors come about?

Okay so the Tower of Babel story might explain the different languages we speak and that people were spread out around the earth so they developed different skin colors over time.
But why do different races look different from one another? Like Orientals have slanted eyes but caucasians don't?

They came as part of generations. Noah had three sons of different races. It was common for various "colors" to come about. Only after God confounded the languages did generations of people separate base on that and eventually race became dominate in certain groups. This is why it is confusing to scientist why certain race people have been found in areas that they should not have been. In Texas they found a grave site of a group of European type people thousands of years before any white people were here in America. It evidently was a small group that lived among the native Americans. The bones and testing proved they were from a European type descent. This find was significant because the scientist that found it said it disproved conclusively the theory that people came to America from the Bering straight along Alaska. It proved they had been here before the continental shift. Which corresponds to what the bible said. It said shortly after God confounded the languages, he divided the earth. Remember in Genesis it said that God created ONE land mass out of the ocean. So later he divided it into continents. Probably to separate cultures as people wandered off. Some small groups of races happen to be caught in the wrong places.

Race came into existence through natural selection. Adam and Even would have had mid-brown skin, like Asian or Hispanic people, and up until the tower of Babel everyone would have more or less looked the same because they lived close together. After the tower of Babel people were scattered across the earth and depending on where they ended up over time their skin became darker or lighter through the removal of unfavorable DNA from their gene pool. People became lighter skinned because in areas with less son people who had darker skin produced less vitamin D which caused them to have bone problems and so it became more favorable to be lighter skinned. People who went deeper into Africa developed darker skin because there was plenty of sun for producing vitamin D, but it also caused skin problems and such. Having darker skin protected them from this. The issue of Natural selection within intelligent design is very interesting because it shows God's forethought into our need to adjust. It is important to understand that this is not "evolution" in the sense that is taught today. Evolution requires that DNA be added and improved upon from what it was, this is not happening, unfavorable DNA is simply being removed.

HA!
My own personal belief is that God actually created a small group of men and women, to start, probably four couples at least, and spread them out a bit. I think the Adam and Eve story, with the serpent and the fruit is a parable, although I do believe that there was a literal Adam and Eve....

Because there weren't an Adam and Eve. It's one of the big holes in the bible, especially because for there to be diversity after Adam and Eve, people would have had to EVOLVE into different races.

If you notice the people who lived closer to the equator are darker. The people with dryer hair lived in dryer climates. It's all evolution chica. We are even changing to this day. Have you ever heard of wisdom teeth? Sure you have. We get our wisdom teeth cut out because we don't need them any more, and most peoples wisdom teeth don't even come in or they come in the wrong way. Our bodies are trying to adapt the changes we've made. We don't eat like cave men any more. If you look at pictures of people in the 1800's you will see a slight difference in facial fetchers. Evolution

The Holy Quran supports evolution.
Human beings were developed through evolution but they were like animals living in caves, then God selected Adam as his first prophet to civilize them and a new phase of intellectual and spiritual development started.

The Bible speaks of Adam and Eve as his first creations, it does not say whether or not he made other men and women after them in other parts of the world.

God must have given the 1st pair a big gene pool, and the races didn't really take shape until after the tower of Babel.
