If you are thinking of saying sure why not? Then lets add a Minaret and a bearded Muezzin or 2 calling Muslims to prayers 5 times a day. And don't say "thats ok" my town doesn't have any Muslims. Thats because your town doesn't have a Mosque & Minaret yet silly..

We have one. What does it matter to you? Are you free to worship how you choose?

It is horrible! I do not know if you actually have a Mosque in your town, but provided you are not muslim (like I am not) it is pretty annoying. Where I come from people are orthodox christians. Imagine how they feel being forced to listen to this 5 times a day...

Once I lived near a mosque in Singapore and scared me a lot. They make so much noise. They shout regularly into the neighborhood with speakers. It is fair to be in a 100% muslim neighborhood but if it is mixed with others. The ammans there are very strict with their followers and follow their rules to homes. You cannot marry a girl unless you convert. You cannot inherit from muslim unless you convert. If you have a son they will come to your place to do cirsumcision. Their registry has to mulitply and the middle east arabs give them funds to convert non muslims into muslims. Very dirty game and very yukky game they are playing to make the wole world muslims.

I would be opposed to it, in exactly the same way I would be opposed to a Baptist church or a Catholic church being built here. It is a false religion, and I am charged to oppose it (Ephesians 5:11).

However, this being a free country with a governmentally-protected right to worship however one sees fit, they would be allowed to do such, and I would fight anybody trying to restrict that freedom.

Contradiction? No, just different methods. I would try to teach people out of their error without restricting their civil rights.

If I can remember right, my town has over 10,000 of them.

I don't know whether or not the muezzins have beards.

Does your town have bells on the churches?

About the same as I feel about churches in my town. I avoid them and the brownnosers in them like the plague.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. It might be interesting. Perhaps then I could actually get to know a Muslim.
