No life is ever a waste. Life is an experience that should be savored, and explored. You don't need sex, bad thoughts, or great wealth to have a great life experience.

Thomas,
What you suggest, is impossible. For mortals. There is, however, a way open to us. Jesus came to the earth to bring us all a message, both simple, and elegant. "The Kingdom of God, is within you". When we approach God as humble children and invite Him into our hearts, He sends His Spirit into us, and bonds with us. We become new creatures, part mortal, part Immortal. The old values of materialism and fear fall away. Love and Wisdom, become the foundation of all our choices. We have embarked on the Path of Eternity, and we will never be the same again. What seemed so tempting before, now seems more like the behavior of animals. We see God, and each other in a new light. We become aware of the great Unity of the life that flows through us all. If you are still conscious after your flesh body dies, and are able to see that the symbols of man made religion are not there, I can assure you, that God has something in mind for you, much greater than those things.

If I give my life to God, leave free from the destruction of alchohal, STDs, drugs, and prison. Give myself to good works designed to help humanity and bring aid and confort to others in need. Enjoy a loving family held together by prayer, faith and committment to each other. I have the strength of my faith to draw from in trouble, the convictions of morals to guide me in temptation, the power of prayer when all else fails. And if in the end there is no heaven, God, etc. I think I will still be ahead of the game. I will have had every blessing available in this life. That would be the best anyone can do - if it is all a lie. So no, it would not be a waste.

(Oh, and its not all a lie)

Even if there was no gate what would it matter what you did on earth. It there is no gate then what you did on earth wont change how you feel after you die. If there is only thoughts then I think living a life of wealth and sex would only make things worse. This is because you would have an even larger craving for the things that you can't have after death. If you never experinced them then your craving would be less or zero because you wouldn't know what to crave.

well no bad thoughts is an impossible thing to accomplish. any thought that has to do with sin is a bad thought and we do it every day. but giving your life to God in my opinion is the best thing anyone can do. Before I got religious I had girlfriends that I had sex with and now it's been 2 years and i'm proud of it because I want to wait now. and no I dont think that life would be a waste at all.

Well, your premise is a bit off. God never said no sex. He said be fruitful and multiply. But great material wealth isn't so important. How many people have that anyway? So even if there were no Heavenly reward, I would have no regrets.

You're taking an awful big chance with your eternity. My life will not be a waste because I accepted the sacrifice that Jesus gave for me and I will be in heaven while you are realizing that you wasted precious time.

Giving your life to God does not mean that you can't have sex.. It simply means that you can only have sex with your opposite sex spouse.. get your facts straight and then ask this question again.

If all I had after this life were my thoughts, then under your stipulations I would have wholesome thoughts to contemplate throughout eternity. What's the point of your question?

The success of my life is not in my death but how I choose to live my life each day. I wouldn't change a thing.
