in spite of what people think. Mormons are christians. They believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost as three separate and distinct beings. They believe that families can be together forever, even after death. They believe that the true church of Jesus Christ, established by Christ when he was on the earth, was lost and corrupted after the crucifixtion. They belileve that a young man named Joseph Smith saw in vision our Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father or God. They told him that there was no church on earth that contained the fulness of the gospel established by Christ. Through Joseph Smith, the true church and gospel of Jesus Christ was once again restored to the earth. This is just a small part of what they believe. If you really want to know. Contact the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints near where you live. They would be happy to send missionaries to you to tell you more. If you are really interested, you could give me your address, and I will make sure someone visits you to explain the Mormon faith. There are alot of misconceptions and untruths about the Mormom religion. If you really want to know the truth talk to someone who is a member of the Mormon church.

We believe Jesus is the Christ. That through the Prophet Joseph Smith the true church has been restored. We believe in what we call the Articles of Faith. You can read these on www. lds.org. We believe the bible to be true and also have modern day revelation from God, we also have the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and all the priesthood keys necessary in establishing His Kingdom and administering the proper ordinances needed for the salvation and eternal life of man.

Mormons, or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints could agree with the following: We believe in God, the Eternal Father. We believe in His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe in the Holy Ghost. These three individuals comprise the Godhead. Other churches will use the term "Trinity." We believe that God is immortal and perfect and has a body of flesh and bone. We believe that Jesus Christ also has an immortal and perfect body of flesh and bone. We believe the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit so that the influence of that spirit can touch the hearts of those who are learning truth. We believe in the Bible as the word of God as far as it has been translated correctly. We also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and it is a second witness of Jesus Christ. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Church of Jesus Christ in ancient times. We believe in listening to the words of a living prophet, not a dead one (ongoing revelation). We believe in a living succession of prophetic and apostolic authority. We believe that a man must be called of God by the correct authority and by the laying on of hands to administer the Priesthood of God. We believe that women are equal in value to men, but the genders have different roles. As a woman I am spending most of my time preparing to teach and raise a family. So I am studying piano and am working on creative theater, as well as keeping up on scripture study. There is more to what we believe, but you can ask Mormon missionaries for more. Have a happy day!
P.S. It is one wife with one husband. Anyone who practices polygamy in this day and age is not a member of the Church, but is a member of a dissenting faction.

We believe in God the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
We believe that man will be punished for his own sins and not for Adam's transgression.
We believe that through the atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the gospel are: faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins, and the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
We believe that man must be called of God by prophecy and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority to preach the gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
We believe that the Church is built upon a foundation of apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, priests, deacons, etc.
We believe in the gift of tongues, healings, visions, prophecy, interpretation of tongues, etc.
We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important truths pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the ten tribes, that Zion will be built upon the American continent and that Earth will receive its paradisical glory.
We claim the privilege of worshipping God according to the dictates of our own conscience and afford all men the same privilege, let them worship how where or what they may.
We believe in being subject to Kings, rulers, magistrates and in honoring, sustaining and obeying the law.
We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, and in doing good to all men. Indeed we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul, we have endured many things and hope to be able to endure all things. if there is anything virtuous, lovely, of good report or praiseworth, we seek after these things.

Having cited the Articles of Faith as penned by Joseph Smith 160 years ago, there have been many books written explaining or describing what those thirteen statements mean. I wrote them from memory so they may not be word perfect but you get the idea. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a complete package, trying to follow all the scriptures, not just a chosen few that appeal to us. It could be summarized in another scripture passage that states "This is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man". So spoke Jehovah to Moses as revealed to Joseph Smith. Therefore, all that we do in the Church is to fulfill that mandate, help God in bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of God's children. We do that by inviting all souls to come unto Christ and receive of His saving ordinances. Christ brought to pass the immortality by way of His resurrection. The eternal life comes by way of the atonement and our participation in that atonement comes by way of our repentance and obedience to His teachings. It is a daily endeavor and a lifelong effort.
