I did weeding and poison ivy got into my eyes and eyes swollen a bit and now for two weeks the nose is still running.

i just got over it it took 4 weeks, and i used everything!

umm it just depends on how fast your body can process and get rid of it.
every summer i get poison ivy, and i get it at camp sometime during the 3 weeks i am there. i usually come home with it and it lasts at least another 2 weeks or more.
just keep cleaning it best you can.
having it in your eyes is a different thing though.
and very dangerous and contagious.
if i were you i'd go see a doctor and get a poison ivy shot to help it heal faster...

You can get a prescription of prednisone or a steroid shot at the doctors. I really helps a lot. Over the counter stuff like Benadryl or generic benadryl called diphenhydramine helps calm the reaction and also helps you sleep. I don't think the lotions and potions are a good option for treating your eyes! So, call the doctor or go to a mediclinic.

I had it for about 2 weeks. My legs just erupted with these huge irregularly shaped blisters/bumps, and they oozed a clear/yellowish tinged fluid. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me some cream to help stop the itching. One thing to keep in mind, is that if your afflicted areas are oozing like mine were, do your best to blot it up with a towel, dont' rub it around (and cleanse your hands afterwards!), as the oozing stuff is your body discharging the toxins. One of my friends didnt realize that the oozing stuff was still toxic badness, and he managed (after getting the ooze on his hands) to uh...um....give his "nether parts" a good dose of the ivy foulness.

I had poison twice and both time it was gone in a week. All you need is a little clamine to stop the itching so it doesn't spread. The more you itch it the longer it will last.

My pop's caught poision Ivy 6 weeks ago and he still not fully recover but it has gotten alot better.

U dont know. It can be 1, 2,3,4,5 weeks. Nobody knows.
I had it for 3 weeks but my friend had it for 5 weeks. my siser had it for 2 weeks. U dont know when they WILL GO AWAY

it stays in the body three weeks. it shows up within three days after and is only contagious if oil from it touches anyone else
