How do you exactly get them to work? Do you believe in them? Any interesting stories to share?

I've always wondered if they really work. The rational side of me says that someone is pushing the planchette (the pointer, usually heart-shaped or triangular, and supported by castors).
The other side of me wants to believe that it works, because that would be fascinating to try.

If a Ouija board really works, no one would need to touch the planchette at all, thus eliminating any suspicion that someone, alive and with their hand on it, is moving it themselves.

That would be a true test of a Ouija board.

I know that you and your friends place your hands on the whatever that thing is called and it moves. I don't know how it moves though.

I lived in an apartment that I SWEAR TO GOD was haunted. My friends and I pulled out the Ouija board and played with it. We found out that the ghost in my apartments name was Ryan. He talked to use through the Ouija board. I had a friend living with me at the time and the ghost NEVER liked any of his girlfriends. He would do really weird things to them to make them uncomfortable. Especially while they were sleeping (like pressing really hard on there chest). While playing with the Ouija board he told one of his girlfriends to get out of the house.

Some kid came to my apartment that used to live there and he said it was haunted too. My daughter was just a baby at the time and would point to things that were not there.

I watched a TV show once about a house that was haunted. The family played with a Ouija board and let the spirit inside the house. Eventually the man burned the Ouija board. Some guy who was an expert on Ouija boards said to NEVER burn your Ouija board. I believe him. Eventually I think they got rid of the spirit.

A Ouija board is operated by one or more users. They place the planchette on the board and then rest their fingers on the planchette. The users start by moving the planchette around the board and speaking to the entity (or entities) they wish to summon; they then begin asking questions of it. Eventually the planchette will come to rest on one letter after another, spelling out a message. Often an additional participant records the messages on paper. As with automatic writing, the messages are often vague and open to interpretation, or complete gibberish.

Some practitioners claim to have had bad experiences related to the use of talking boards by being haunted by demons, seeing apparitions of spirits, and hearing voices after using these boards.

A few Paranormal researchers, such as John Zaffis, claim that the majority of the worst cases of demon harassment and possession are caused by the use of Ouija boards.

Many Christians believe that using a Ouija board allows communication with demons, which is Biblically forbidden as a form of divination.

Many users feel that the spirit with whom they are communicating is controlling their motions to guide their hands, spelling out messages. They see the board as a tool or medium through which they communicate with the spirit realm. These believers often take offense at the dismissal of the talking board as merely a game. Other users contend that they are in control of their own actions, but that the talking board allows communication with their inner psychic voice or subconscious.

Some proponents of Ouija boards claim the activity is harmless fun. Others believe that they are communicating with spiritual entities but there is no harm in doing so provided that basic guidelines are followed. These rules often vary from user to user, but usually include things like never playing alone, beginning and ending a séance "properly", and always using the board in a "comfortable" environment. Numerous superstitions surround Ouija board use, including the alleged indestructiveness of the board.

Personally I believe that when spirits are present in a home, that the Ouija board has a great possibility to be of interesting use. I also knew someone who claimed that their grandmother's house was haunted, so she invited a few friends over to have fun with an Ouija board and such. It ended up spelling out "Shed" and "dirt" which was strange... but 5 years later they were doing some work over by the shed and found bones. Since then nothing odd or strange has happened at her grandmother's home ^^

You shouldnt use Quiji boards, simply because if they DO work, they are a gateway to the unknown. There have been several stories of "things" that have come through the other side and haunt families all because they messed with a quiji board and didnt know what they were doing. Its like opening up your front door and inviting anyone inside, you dont know who they are, what they want, and more importantly their state of mind. Thats a good reason why christians can believe they are "of satan" Its safer not to mess with them no matter what religion you are, because there are slim chances of it working #1, and the chances of whatever comes through being a nice, happy, "lets have a tea party" being is even slimmer.

My son was given an ouija board from one of his friends. He was only eleven at time. Having it in the house creeped me and my husband out so we decided to throw it away. WE THREW IT AWAY THREE TIMES!!!! It just kept showing up in the house. We asked the kids if they were going out and getting out of the garbage and they swear they were not. I believe them because at the time, we lived in an apartment complex with a shared dumpster and I don't think they were big enough to crawl into it. Also, it was never stained from garbage being thrown on them if they did go get it when I wasn't looking.

Ouija boards are magickal tools. Most of them are constructed so poorly they harm whatever spirits that choose to use them to communicate. Second, they are tools of the Occult. They are not games. Misuse of them could result in possession. You could call up a negetive spirit and get a haunting if they break through the board. You get rushed by negetive energy and cursed. There are several things that could go wrong. As an occultist I do not condone their use.

They do work. To get them to do so, simply call out for someone and ask questions. Sometimes it takes a lot of patience.

I once used one with my friends and we called for anyone around and someone came. After talking for a while, my friend asked if the spirit knew anyone. It said "3 of u"... then we asked who it was... they spelled "cindy" (my mom)... so... yeah, I was in tears... mainly because she did know 3 of us (she had never met my boyfriend at the time) and I would be the only one of the group to know that... and I didn't move the thing. There's more afterwards to tell, but yeah... they are at least a bridge to the other side, I believe.

You need two or more people to make the pointer work. My estranged wife thought it was a cool tool, so we sat down together and asked it what I should do, now that she was no longer with me. The pointer spelled out, "Kil her". Twice. Of course, I didn't. the last time I talked to her, she told me that she had figured out how to stay warm while walking home in the winter. She would crawl underneath cars that didn't have frost on the windows to get heat off the muffler.

I'd have to be honest with you, the power is not in the board. The power is manifested within you.

Here is a good rule of thumb covering all aspects of life. Don't mess with things over which you have no understanding. Your time would be better spent volunteering at a shelter.

Ouija is not a game...yes people can manipulate the planchette but you can also find you have opened a portal into the spirit world, and you don't know what is going to come thru that door or what is going to happen...and since you can't control the entrance, you can't make it leave. Please don't get involved with this. If the Enemy can entrap you, it will--and if it does it *will* destroy you. (I didn't say "he" as I'm not convinced that spirits have gender.)
