Yes of course! Everyone should aim on improving their IQ's.Participation in this yahoo Q&A is one way to help improve IQ if used properly.Needless to say that it is quite frustrating as every now and then you will find some Q&A which will turn you IQ upside down.

Most IQ test problems are based on logic and reasoning. Some questions also revolve around comparisons...similar to the SAT verbal, and also there are general knowledge questions. Be sure to cover these topics if you are studying for an IQ test. It is pretty difficult to study for one..but if you have a practice IQ test it will be helpful. Did you want to join Mensa or something?

IQ is not very practical in the sense it does not necessarily correlate to actual success. But, it does give you a sense of your possible potential analytically.

You can't -- Your IQ is what it is.

I took the standard IQ test at 17 years old, and then again just last year. With 25 more years of experience and education under my belt, my IQ is still 142.
