Because it is a proven fact that in women pheromones come out of your head and when a guy is taller he can get a great and wonderous wiff of it and instantly want to take her etc....

In my history of dating, I would say probably because they may think where more protective, and more intimidating.
Some girls just like tall guys overall.

I can't speak for all women, but I like being the little one. Being petite, I like that I can crawl into my man's lap and snuggle up to his chest. And when he spoons me, my body fits snugly against his torso.
