Alcohol has a weak diuretic effect
"A diuretic (colloquially called a water pill) is any drug that elevates the rate of bodily urine excretion (diuresis). Diuretics also decrease the extracellular fluid (ECF) volume, and are primarily used to produce a negative extracellular fluid balance. Caffeine, cranberry juice and alcohol are all weak diuretics."
Not strange it happens to you more with beer then liquors. It needs a lot of beer to hangover. And this means you're drinking a lot of water...

you're dehydrating, drink water.

beer is a vat of sodium and carbs... you've pumped yourself up with that and during the hangover your body will try and compensate to keep cool while it's burning up, so you'll sweat...

drink some water (really! take it from an ex alki) before the buzz wears off.. before you retire for the day...

it will help.

dehydration is the major issue with drinking any alcohol.
