I live close to a large cemetery and enjoy taking my dogs for a walk. The cemetary has paved walkways and is very large, so it makes for a safe and nice walk. I only go late evenings so there are no funerals taking place. I just wanted to know if other people think this is disrespectful.

just clean up any messes that he makes and dont let him urinate on headstones, and avoid people who are there mourning a loved one.

I walked my dog in a cemetary. Some people even call them memorial parks. I wouldn't even worry too much about the poo, unless there are strigent laws for your town. Desecration is about intent, and no dog means to desecrate a grave any more than the birds do. If anything the dead know that sh*t happens.

Well, you know dogs like to pee and poop all over the place, and someone's eternal resting place is not a good idea for a toilet. Also there might be a funeral going on and the last thing those people wanna hear is a dog barking..... although I would be laughing my @$$ off....lol
Go to the park or to the forest or something!

I don't think so. I grew up near a large old cemetery and used to enjoy walking through it because of the pretty landscape and would get fascinated with the names and history.

Most people wouldn't have a problem with it, most places have pooper scooper laws, don't they?

I thin it's ok if you and your dog stay on the paved walkways only!

Do not let your dog poop or pee on the grass and certainly not on peoples graves, memorials, or tomb stones. That would be completely and utterly disrespectful.

Be mindful when you walk pass certain cemetaries like the muslim or jewish cemetaries. Muslims and Jewish people aren't allowed to touch dogs. You won't offend so much of the dead, but it wouldn't be nice if the bereaved see you walking your dog near their dearly departed.

Keep it on the walkway & let it do its thing out of the cemetary.

Please pick up the dog poo so other people don't step in it (a good idea anyway). I promise none of the residents will get up and complain in a cemetary.

It's not disrespectful as long as you don't let your dog lift him leg on a tomb stone of leave poo behind.

If your dog doesn't desecrate any of the graves/headstones in any way, it should be okay. Besides, who would complain?
