spiritual people are compassionate by nature and are compelled from within to be kind, but some people are kind because intellectually they know they are "supposed to be." It's hard to know what's going on inside of someone.

Not necessarily.
Kindness is great, but the search for understanding to me is the true sign of spirituality. Acts of kindness are just that, acts. Moments in time when choices were made. True spirituality and enlightenment come from a never ending search for understanding and growth.

Lets both understand 1 thing.
There are 2 spiritual things. Good and Evil.
You can be killed deader than dead with a Evil spirit out of Evil kindness.
Man knows only man's kindness and love.
That's why the Bible says, Man not know how to LOVE until, he has the "love" [agape] of God.

You must be cruel to be kind, sometimes.
At other times, being kind is cruel.
Since kindness is usually a sign of good intentions, I think it would be a sign of true spirituality, which has nothing whatever to do with any religious teachings.

I'd say that, except I've met some really kind atheists and agnostics. I can say that I'm much more inclined to listen to a spiritual message from a kind person than one from someone who isn't that kind.

kindness doesn't mean spiritual, kindness is part of someones charateristics. It is more on how they were raised. However, people that are spiritual do show kindness to others, as their father showed kindeness to them

I believe that it is a sign of people who have found God. But don't assume that all people that act kind really are. Even the devil can portray himself as an angel of light.

Not at all ..considering the priests in the church child predators and so on ...the most common theme amongst those guys is always kindness, which is what they need to lure victims...so absofrickinglutely not!
