It seems like everyday there are questions from religious people asking about how they are suppose to feel about God. Don't they learn this stuff in church? I don't believe in God or heven or hell. I don't ever question the way I believe. I just know for me that this is right. Why don't they just go with what they feel and stop asking for someone to guide them?

I have noticed the same thing. It seems that many religious people are really not very confident about their faith and are always seeking validation. Can you find God on the Internet? I don't think so.

I am a Christian. The reason we ask God to help us love are enemies is because it is a very difficult thing to pray for all good to come to those that hurt us this is just the human way.,as a Christian I believe that God,Christ, and the Holy Spirit are God and that God is LOVE a love that we will not really experience until death or the return of Christ. If I would live on feelings alone it would not be pretty and I would end up a very sad person, okay you don't believe(yet) that is fine You do not believe in hell okay.I would rather believe and there not be a hell than to go my entire life not believing and find my self in hell.We ask each other for guidance just as you would ask you Father,or teacher for help.To me it is the most natural thing to pray for strength and guidance.I also believe God or the fundamental idea of God is born down deep in each of us,To live knowing that I am not God and that there is a higher power at work takes a lot of burden from me and brings great joy.good luck in you walk trough this life.

It is the individual. People are often insecure about the things in their lives... not just religion. These people that are uncertain about their relationship with God or their religion probably have that same attitude with many objects in their life. They probably go shopping with friends so they can ask which outfits look good on them. They probably won't order a meal at a restaurant unless someone else recommends it. It is insecurity, and they need some help & guidance. There's nothing wrong with that. Maybe they have just begun to believe in God... not everyone who is religious was raised in a religious home or going to church. They have now choosen to believe in God, but still have many questions about Him. Hopefully as they mature they will feel secure in their beliefs.

I'm a Christian, but I'm like you in the sense that I don't ever question the way I believe. I just know for me that this is right. Keep in mind, that people like you and I have no need to ask other's opinions on our beliefs... so of course you are not going to find questions like "I am an absolute believer in God, and love Him with all my heart. What do I do or how should I feel?" People who are grounded in their beliefs already know what to do, and already feel a certain way.
It's the same with any relationship. You don't see happily married couples with secure, mature relationships asking "Is my guy cheating on me?" or "Does he still love me?" It's young, emotionally immature or unexperienced (usually highschool)couples that ask these questions.
However, I don't mind answering other people's questions if I have something useful to offer. It's ultimately up to them to develop a PERSONAL relationship with God though.

Because they are all insecure with themselves and they believe the only way that they can live in society is by having a "guaruntee" that they will live to see another day. The reason they dont go with what they feel is because some people are so dependent upon others that they cant point themselves in the right direction without a litttle help.

People dont ask for help to love God. They turn to God for His help in their lives. How can someone like you who clearly just admitted that she doesn't believe in God expect to understand a realationship between a Christian and God? You can't..

You can't possibly understand the word of God, if you don't believe in it's author, which is God Himself.

Your situation is a sad one like all the other nonbelievers in this world. You will become a believer when it's too late for you to do anything about it.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

I assume by religious people you mean Christians. We are all of one body, Christ being the head. The body needs to act as one. If we need to confirm that a part of our body is not as one we ask questions to confirm our walk and faith in Jesus Christ. I once read on here that Christians think they are better than everyone else. So untrue. We as Christians all belong to Christ, so belonging to Christ gives us a brotherhood or sisterhood that far outweighs the natural family. We are a spiritual family with like minds and like beliefs in our Lord. On here you are not sitting in a different sect but are all one sect. This is hard for you to understand, ask any Christian how they feel towards another who has a belief in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Because we all need the help of other believers. God often speaks to us through the voices of others. It is up to us to let His Light shine in the world. To share our faith with others. To keep each other strong in faith. God is a part of every aspect of our lives, even here on Yahoo! And perhaps you are here in the Religion & Spirituality section because your heart and soul are searching for something that you may not even realize is missing from your life. God bless!

No man is an island that's why. They need answers, they need guidelines. Let me ask you: why did you post your question? Why don't you just keep it to yourself and live with your life. Admit it or not, you're one among those people you dont know: those people who dont just go with what they feel and stop asking for someone to guide them!
