I don't want a bunch of "Good question" or "God doesn't exist" answers. Those are useless and waste my time to read...so if you have a genuine answer, please answer. This is your chance to defend your faith. God had to come from somewhere...right? Who created God?

For your information, I'm agnostic. I want to believe in God, but the idea is beyond me. I have too many questions, and this is one of several thousand.

Good question...

God is a supreme being... he has no beginning or end... He is eternal both past eternal and future eternal... God is not bound by time... time is his creation for us... God has always existed, he is immortal...

I know it's difficult to understand and it doesn't make sense... in fact it sounds crazy but all I can say is that there are some things that we simply can't understand... that's why it's called faith... Just think of a boundless, supreme, immortal all powerful being... that's God... we can't understand him because we are limited, finite beings... it is beyond our comprehension... We have to accept that there are some things that we can't understand...

I hope that helps...

The Bible doesn't tell us where God came from and it doesn't answer many questions that agnostics and atheists alike ask. My minister pointed out that the Bible was not meant to be a history lesson. It is a primer, so to speak, of how we are to behave. It does not bother me a bit that I do not know where God came from, all I know is that I FEEL his presence all around me, every day. I used to question everything, but the more I read the Bible, the more I understood that it was not necessary for me to have the answer to every single question in order to be one of His children. I will just have to wait until I go to be with Him to ask Him any questions I may still have. Do not be afraid to believe in what you can't understand, for you will be rewarded with a peaceful spirit here on earth and an eternity of happiness.

I do not need to defend my faith...it is self-evident in my life.

But God has always been and always will be, without beginning or end. Revelation records Him a the Alpha and the Omega. He is referred to as The Ancient of Days.

You and I as well as the rest of CReation was created by God. It has a beginning and an end. In Revelation 20, and 21, you see judgement day, where heaven and earth will flee in the presence of God the Father, for no place will be found for them. God will create a new heaven and a new earth, described in the last chapter of Revelation.

Well How can you expect to answer that question. However let me try. God came from the conscience of man. I would never agree to the notion that god created man. One of the men became god by comitting himself to his conscience.

so many have asked this question...I am Christian and I used to ask myself the same question...I realized very quickly that it is not for me to question the ways of the Lord...God IS....He is the beginning and the end of all things and that includes Himself....I accept this because I trust Him and what He says....this question is to big for human logic which proves all the more that there is a God...don't ask us.. ask Him

he has been assumed to always have existed before anything else, which is the same question posed to an atheist, where did the universe come from then? assumed to have always existed, and goes thru "big bang" cycles
