This is only for non-believers with an open mind who are realistic and think about everything as a possibility.
If suddenly you sense that there is something weird going on, the World is getting worse and worse everyday. Everything in the Bibble that appeared in Revelations is coming true like people receiving the mark of the devil to be able to buy and sell, and the Anti-Christ or false prophet. People are saying is the end of the world and God is coming but you still don't believe in that, but it was really true and you see God descending from Heaven looking for his people.
All this time you claimed you would never believe in God until you find proof, you finally have it and see it with your own eyes.
If you were given a change to ask God for forgiveness for all of your sins and convert at that moment to go with him and leave the World that is a complete disaster, there is no food, people are killing themselves, etc.
Would you do it?

Few of you are responding my question and arent reading it right. If you see God right in front of you giving you a second chance would you go with him.
That's the question.

bettierage you have only been the most honest one. Thanks for being mature enough to answer the question, not giving me facts I don't want to know.

If the only part of this question you want answered is, "If God came to earth and proved He was God, and gave me a second chance, would I go?", my answer is yes. Seeing Him descend from Heaven would be part of the incontrovertible proof I need to convince me He was real, so yes, I would convert. I'm more agnostic than Athiest, so for me it's the "proof" part I'm waiting for.

Realistic, and thinking anything is possible, are opposites. If the world started getting worse, that means nothing. Many before the bible predicted the end. I can give details looking at society, and human nature. All that would prove is that the creators of Christianity were good with psychology (and they were). Finding proof of god will not happen. Basically you are saying if there was a disturbance in the force, and all went bad would you convert. No, religion is designed to make you feel comfortable, and control you. Blind faith, etc.

If by "non-believer" you're simply referring to someone who does not consider themselves to be of the Christian faith, then I can answer this. I believe in god and the goddess. I do not need forgiveness for my sins, I and the Universe are my judges. If I screw up, I try to make it right. If the world were coming to an end, which it is, I have made my own choice of where I want to go after I leave this body and it isn't the Christian "heaven," or "hell" or the Summerlands, I choose to be a planeswalker (if any of you are familiar - REALLY familiar with the astral and other planes, you'll understand). Christ himself is a planeswalker. I have seen and spoken to him - and his bride - on the Atmic. I think those of us with any type of belief system create or own heavens and hells, depending solely on what we are *taught* not what we experience because we follow blindly like sheep rather than taking control of our know knowledge and our own destiny.
Not preaching here, just backing up the reason I answered the way I did.
Blessed be.

You know, somehow I think living during WWII would've been far worse than living in this time. Oh, and living in Europe during the bubonic plague epidemic, too. Not to mention the American, French, or Russian revolutionary wars in those places. How about WWI - anyone? I could go on, but I think you get my point.
This isn't the end times. I think it's rather self-righteous and egotistical of you to think that it would happen in your lifetime. Not to mention that it's fairly contemptible to hope that so many people would suffer just so you could participate in such a grand event. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Rapture hasn't happened, and the Temple of Solomon has been rebuilt, so the book of Revelations isn't coming true.
And no, I wouldn't demean myself or my beliefs by changing them at the last minute. And neither would you. If you thought the question thru a little bit more, you'd realize how insulting it really was to everyone - including yourself.

Interesting question, and thank you for the neutral way it was phrased.
As for my answer, no, I wouldn't ask God for forgiveness in those circumstances. I believe the human race has become a power in its own right, and that we've evolved the right to be respected by any creator god that eventually is proved to exist. So I would stay until my body gave out, and live the life I had, rather than being miraculously saved, or interfered with, to prove my point to God and Satan both.

It's funny how *every* period of time during the last 200 years has had the same signs according to some people. In other words, you aredeluding yourself. People have always been nasty and have had wars and rumors of wars. There have always been 'false prophets' and people claiming the world is coming to an end. The only difference now is that these people are in power and seemingly trying to destroy the world. Bush is a prime example.

First off, I believe this world is getting worse due to humans and their lack of morals NOT evil coming into the world. Every time you let a person sue a company for spilling their own coffee on their own lap, holding the gun manufacturer responsible because your kid killed others and you don't hold people responsible for their own actions... you will get a degradation of society.
Personally I think that it I would see a ghost and unequivically believe I saw it, I would believe in God with no doubts... till then, call me Thomas, lol! And yes, I would do it!

It's always easy to say that vague prophesies are coming true. If I did meet God, I'm not an idiot, and know how to admit I'm wrong. I don't see it, personally, but whatever.

And why do you think there are so many atheists in the religion section? Yep, they already know, they're just too stubborn to admit it.

Sure, and if monkeys suddenly started flying out of my butt, I would also believe there were monkeys hiding in my butt.
Neither one is likely to happen though.
