I don't think any Iranian will be so stupid to nuke Israel. To nuke Israel will mean certain retaliation on Iran. Which Iranian can possibly risk that?

Maybe you are right. But we can't be too certain. Nevertheless, perhaps we should still keep a close watch.

I have to say that Iran would have to be mad to nuke Israel. Not only would Israel retaliate, but so would the rest of the western world. Iran would be totally destroyed. Now, it is possible that Ahmadinejad is completely nuts, but the real powers that be in Iran can't all be that delusional. As it stands, Iran has the sympathetic support of China and Russia protecting them from attack by the West. They would lose that support and would have to go it alone if they took the drastic step of nuking Israel. We've seen states in the past who went alone against all odds, such as Germany(Hitler), France(Napoleon) and many others but Iran does not come even close to their capabilities. I am sure that they know that. Iran will continue to send in covert militia and will continue it's nuclear program. Israel will stay in Lebanon for awhile and the world will put up with it. Somewhere down the line I expect that Israel will start to see Iran's program as a real threat and they will bomb Iran's nuclear sites with or without the help of the U.S. That's when we may see a broader war.

Contrary to what one person answered, Iran bombing Israel could never be a surprise. Who doesn't know that Muhamedinejad wants Israel destroyed? (I am aware that I don't know how to spell his name.) He is quoted as saying that he wants to wipe Israel off the map. Ironically, I don't think that maps made in Iran recognize the small country east of the Mediterranean as Israel to begin with.

Just a side note: Iran is a Muslim nation, but it isn't Arab.

What would be the point of announcing it?

If Iran were to nuke Israel, it would be a surprise attack, so Israel wouldn't be able to make a preemptive strike.

Why do Christians worship Jews? They don't even believe in Jesus as prophet, Messai, or of the immaculate conception as do Muslims. I think that after the Christians get over their guilt of what Hitler did, with Christendom's blessings; and the Jew is no longer wrenching the Christian's moneybag through his pocket, i.e. his gonads, then they will get back to the business of settling old scores for the jews killing (their lord). By the way the (god junior) idea is another tidbit of paganism contributed by Paul-- a Roman Jew. By the way, Muslisms beilieve that Jesus was saved from the humiliation of death by crusifiction, which according to the bible is a confirmation of one being cursed.
Don't mess me, I was a christian and I know your Bible.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that these articles being proliferated about another 9/11 on 8/22 are actually being planted by the Bush administration to justify a pre-emptive strike.

I posted a question on the validity of paragraph 2 of this article; you can read responses from Muslims here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Al3i1GQfIwpIWcyy.N8oIjfsy6IX?qid=20060727072302AAYnM0E

I'm not sure there's a concensus that this date means anything. I mean, why not bomb the day before? Or a week before? It just seems fishy to me.

"Perotonia," you should have read the article before you called Christians "monkeys" (which I've reported, by the way). The article quotes Muslim sources.
