All religions judge and condemn us due to the rules of modern society; stealing, murder, adultery and so on. But what about the people who lived before society, when there was nothing to steal, or no reason to kill?

The old concepts of heaven and hell are outdated notions that have been used to manipulate the masses through promises of reward and fear of punishment.

God is not vengeful, angry, demanding or jealous. He is after all - God - what could He possibly be vengeful, angry, demanding or jealous about? He will not send you to some place of everlasting torment due to your failure to abide by some arbitrary list of rules.

God is all powerful and all loving. He cares for each and every minute particle of His creation and He promises that nobody will be left behind on the path of returning to Him.

God is the greatest source of love and joy in creation. Therefore the only hell that exists is being separated from God, which is where you are now. We are each on a journey back to God, back to unspeakable love and joy, through learning the ways of love and compassion, some of us just take a bit longer to learn than others.

Cavemen were into the survival mode and they possessed intelligence in order to survive. The bible declares we have a conscience and those that haven't heard will be judged based on how they responded to their conscience.
Easton's Bible Dictionary
Conscience: That faculty of the mind, or inborn sense of right and wrong, by which we judge of the moral character of human conduct. It is common to all men. Like all our other faculties, it has been perverted by the Fall (John 16:2; Acts 26:9; Romans 2:15) It is spoken of as "defiled" (Ti 1:15) and "seared" (1 Timothy 4:2) A "conscience void of offence" is to be sought and cultivated (Acts 24:16; Romans 9:1; 2 Corinthians 1:12; 1 Timothy 1:5,19; 1 Peter 3:21)

Modern society didn't develop the ten commandments. God did. And cavemen were simply people who lived in caves. You're mixing evolution with creationism. We're born with these flaws called sin. Try giving two babies one rattle. The old yestament was about the law which was laid out in leviticus. The new testament was about grace which is a new deal God made with us by sending his son to pay the price for our transgressions. It's a gift that the only requirement is to believe.

According to canon law, Chirstianity believes that 'cavemen' as you call them would have gone to limbus patrum, or Limbo of the Fathers. This was the place in which the souls of the just who died before Christ awaited thier admission to heaven. In the meantime heaven was closed against them inpunishment for the sin of Adam. A 'just caveman' would be one who was not an 'evil' prick...

Limbo of the Fathers would be about the same as, say, the waiting room of a Jiffy Lube...Free TV and Coffee but there is someplace else you would rather be.

You're oil change is done sir,

Cavemen are nothing more than the decendants of Noah, seeking refuge from the weather before stable villages could have been rebuilt after the flood. The curse of sin had begun before cavemen. Those who trusted in God, and heeded His words, and had hopes of a Savior to remove the curse of sin and death are no different than the Patriarchs and those who also lived before Jesus, or of the second generation of mankind (the sons of Adam, Able, who was murdered by his brother Cain. Able had God's blessing, and will be saved. Cain was cursed by God for his unrepented sin, and will not be). The urge to steal, kill, and sin in general, has always been around, since mankind's infancy. As long as the concept of "I have something you don't" has existed, the concept of "I will do whatever it takes to have it too" has existed too. Whether it was fire, clothes, food, God's blessing, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, or a Porshe, self-centeredness has existed for as long as the idea of self has existed.

Those in Noah's Post-Flood generation who believed in God will be saved. Those who didn't, won't.

There has been theft and killing even before modern society. Even looking at "cavemen" skeletons and site shows evidence of cannibalism. And if you look at out extremely close relatives, chimpanzees, whom we share the closest common ancestor, have murders, kidnapping, even cannibalism in their groups. So that type of thing predates society. So I would assume if there would be a heaven and hell the "cavemen" souls are there.

I'm sure they may have been times when cavemen and cavewomen stole things from each other (food, clothing, etc.) ... and I'm sure they may have even killed each other from time to time.

But they had no way of knowing that these things were wrong -- it's doubtful that they had any concept of sin or wrongdoing due to their primitive behavioral development.

Sin requires a knowledge of good and evil -- it requires a knowledge, or at least a reasonable expectation of knowledge, that what one is doing is wrong.

That's why even today, certain people -- very young children, the severely mentally ill or disabled -- are not held responsible (at least not totally) for sin after they die.

Well if you've read Dante's Inferno, then you would know they are in the first circle of Hell. Because there was no God when they were around, he came to be right about when time changed from B.C. to A.D. I know its weird, but guys like Socrates and Alexander the Great and Plato and Homer and friends are all hanging out in the first circle of hell, which my guess is much like the dimension we live in. Not too bad, but certainly not good.

We go to Heaven or Hell because of our beliefs or lack thereof. As far as the people who lived before society, when there was no need to kill......There were only four people on the earth when the first person was killed. And he was slain by his own brother.

Cave men had reasons to steal and kill too. The fact that human males are larger, and naturally more muscular than women proves that our ancestors fought eachother for mates.
