from their definition of the Holy Trinity? And what do you think about the head of the Episcopalian church claiming that homosexual sex is not a sin anymore?

I think it's a result of the slippery slope of Protestantism. How about you?

I think it's foolish. I knew about the Episcopalian Church. Did not know about the other.

Well, I really do not know the motive or the reasons behind the presbyterian church's act of trying to eliminate the holy trinity but check this out - according to a certain school of thought, a similar trinity exists in the early roman faith i.e. paganism. Therefore, it is believed (no offence) that Constantine, the great emporer of rome who was instrumental in establishing Cristianity, could have done a little something here!!!! Of course, this theory has not been proved and hence remains a theory.

Now, about the second part of your question, who exactly is the episcopalian church to dish out new laws when the holy book itself speaks against homosexual sex? The story of Sodom and Gomorah clearly states what a grave sin homosexual sex is. Furthermore, if we exclude religion, and think only in terms of logic, we still find homosexuality to be deeply flawed against the laws of nature!!!

I think it is GREAT that the Presbyterian Church is doing that. Hey they already removed God, its about time they stop taking his name in vain. Ok not really with their Church but I feel any Church that would go that far has been on that course for awhile. As to the Episcopalian's I am not surprised. That is the way these churches are now. They are more worried about butts in the seat so that they can get the offering. They don't care about the teaching the word of God. As to claiming it is because of Protestants, what about the Catholics with their Priests who molest altar boys? Then the Cardinals who allow these people to remain as priests? Watch what you blame as the side you are appearently on isn't doing any better. I think it is the sign of power corrupting.

Did the Presbyterians change their view of the Trinity? Or are they just struggling with the same kind of apostates that fill some branches of American Catholicism(to our shame).

As for the Episcopalians, they may have stepped out of true Christianity and into Heresy. Too bad for all the good Episcopalians out there!

I think it started with Catholicism , after all it was created to be the universal Christian religion.
Being universal, I suppose it was meant to change with the times and public sentiment.
Don't sweat too much about it though, because surely your not all the above mentioned religions.
I have always thought Christianity was a surprisingly flexible religion.
Why, I remember back in the 70's, if a young girl got pregnant out of wedlock, she would have been kicked out, and disowned by her own family. Which reality do you prefer?
In the past there have been some hard core stands that Jesus would not have allowed. But were enforced because of public opinion.
I like to think of it this way; the religions that turn away from the way I interpret the Bible, must be false religions. (There are many little brother.) And they won't be present in my heaven.
Peace

I don't agree with what they are doing, but I don't blame it on Protestantism. There are un-biblical things in every church, including the Catholic one, no one is perfect. I believe that this is the result of Liberal Christianity. Take a look at this article...http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-op-allen9jul09,0,2668973.story?coll=la-news-comment-opinions

You cannot go around pointing fingers at Protestants when one can be pointed right back at the Catholics. I believe that the Catholic church is also becoming a victim of liberality...

Of Catholics...
43% indicated that they are absolutely committed to the Christian faith. (2006)
29% have read the Bible in the past week, not including when they were at church. (2006)
Slightly more than two-thirds of Catholics (68%) say the devil is non-existant and only a symbol of evil. (2006).

The best thing is to find out what the Bible says, and preach the truth. For me, I go to a non-denominational, Bible based, evangelical church. I don't agree with everything, but a lot of it I do. The church is not perfect, and will never be, but we have to fight using the Truth.

I believe in the holy Trinity (God the Father, God the son and God the Holy spirit). Three persons in ONE GOD. So, it DOES NOT mean we are worshipping 3 gods..there is only ONE. You see, there are things that need not to explain about the mistery of this it is just a matter of faith. The bible says, the unforgivable sin is the sin that blasphemes the holy spirit (book of matthew) then proving holy spirit exists. And Jesus mentioned, Iam one with the father. Read the bible and you will be enlightened. I once was confused about this..but we can not set aside the facts that the bible says. Hope this helps. God bless!

Well, I'm presbyterian, and this is the first I've heard of it. I know during prayers we still say, "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost", so apparently it isn't effecting our area. Of course, I kinda ignore all the politics in church, it doesn't belong there and just takes away from the word. I go to worship and as long as that's being done, I'm okay.

Episcopalian's have a history of changing to be politically correct. Pollitical correctness is gonna be the destruction of us all.

I had not heard of the Presbyterians, but the Episcopalians haven't been a Christian church in a long time.

Matthew chapter 24 is full of prophecy.
Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Homosexuality is an abomination. The holy place is where the word of God is being preached. Understand?

1.-I don't believe the Presbyterians are doing away with the trinity.

2.-The Episcopal church stopped believing in God and the Bible over 50 years ago-they are considered an apostate church.

3.-How is any of that any different from the Catholic church hiding pedophile priest and moving them from parish to parish so they can continue their perverted priestly lifestyles?
