Religiously in Islam it is very common - especially with the whole concept of arranged marriages most men are married to a distant relative or cousin for the sake of tradition - but thats only possible in countries like Pakistan and you know what I mean, You'd have to prove you weren't related by LAW OF THE LAND and so no i dont think it can be valid depending on where you live.
