I heard that I can attach string to a tennis ball and dodge that, but is there anything else you guys might know? I have no one to spar with.

what holly c said is wrong beyond belief. the reason why she's wrong, is because blocking is something that requires much more than the movement in mid air. similarly, you can't practice hitting a baseball when you're just swinging your bat in the air. you can't practice hitting a handball by just hitting the air. you can't practice your shots by shooting nothing at nothing.

besides that, i don't believe blocking is such a good idea. my philosophy would be, knock the $h*t outta your opponent before he can hit you. i thought about using a ball for sometime. but think about it. a fist can only go so far, while a ball will go much farther. my favorite move, leaning back to evade the punch, becomes pretty useless if someone wants to peg me in the face. similarly, handball players won't even be able to touch my fists, despite their constant smacking of a ball coming their way full speed.

i believe that you can donate your time on much more useful stuff, such as neck/abs strengthning.

See if you can learn to use the wing chun dummy.

If your hands are getting slower, learn to block the elbow area. The elbows move a lot slower than the fists. Kung fu teaches this principle. You don't need force even against a bigger, stronger guy. It's the physics of ancient martial arts. All that's needed is a deflection at the elbow. Totally misdirects a blow and allows you to lock on to the limb and "manipulate" it.

THE BEST WAY TO KEEP YOUR BLOCKS AND EVADING WITHOUT ANYONE TO SPAR ITS SIMPLE YOU SHOULD MAKE THRILLS YOU SHOULD EXECUTE ABOUT 50 REPETITIONS OF EACH BLOCK EVERY DAY THAT WILL DO IT, IT WORKS BY GETTING USED TO DO IT EVERY DAY LOTS OF TIME YOUR BODY AND MIND WILL ABSORB IT AND IT WONT NO LONGER BE A MOVE TO MENTALY EXECUTE IT WILL BECOME A NATURAL REFLEX THAT WAY YOU WONT NEED TO SPAR TO KEEP YOUR SELF SHARP OR ANSWER ME WATH ITS FASTER AND MORE NATURAL THAN A REFLEX?
