I have a question for muslims?

why do muslims carry their dead and run fast to the cemetary? do they fear that the stiff will stand up and shout Allah akbar?

Good question. I don't remember any verse in Qur'an to rush and burry the dead. The answer to your question is it is more based on hadith that dead has to be burried as soon as possible to face the question from angels. This hadith to me becomes false because there will be no questions and answers in the grave. We have to face the trial on the judgement day not the day we die.

well, its just to pay respect. fyi, the dont run fast to the cemetary. they just carry the dead there. like christians, when ppl die, they bring em to the cemetary.. then the priest will read some stuff.. the dead's family will gather to pay their last respects. so. the muslims carrying the dead to the cemetary is quite similar

at the beginning of ur question i thought u were very polite in the way u asked, the second part however was not very polite
anyways, i dont know if this is a saying in islam or just in egypt but i'm guessing islam.. we say "ikram al mayyet dafno" i.e. "to bury a dead person is to be generous to him"
because once the dead man is in his grave and everyone has left the cemetary he would finally rest. and i guess all we ever want for our dead is for them to rest in peace

Muslims believe that death is a departure from the life of this world, but not the end of a person's existence. Rather, eternal life is to come, and we pray for God's mercy to be with the departed, in hopes that they may find peace and happiness in the life to come.

If you had an iota of faith, you would understand this certain aspect of Islam.

The reason for immediate burial is from the tradition of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)
which asks the burial to be done immediately without any delay.

Why?

Keeping the dead bosy for long is not good for hygienic reasons and makes the family members to brood more over the demise.

Are you really serious with this question?? Do you have a decent bone in your body?? Why would you talk this way about someone who has passed away and people are grieving?? You are so wrong..you should hold your head in shame..If you were curious about this issue, you could have asked a real question to show your interest..
