My husband is deployed overseas, and our annivesary is coming up. I'd like to send him a small cake from the bakery where we got our wedding cake. Do you think it will survive the trip, if I Fedex or UPS it there?

It might work, but I have never tried it. Maybe you want to send him cake and heart shaped cookies. Happy Anniversary! Best wishes to both of you. My Anniversary is coming up on Aug. 27. 1st year. My husband is deployed too and won't be coming back for our anniversary. At least he'll be home for Thanksgiving!

Cakes won't 'melt' persay but it can go bad. I wouldn't send it. You never know what the fedex guy will do... tip it upside down maybe?

Worth a shot. Even if it does melt, he and his buddies will still eat it and love you forever.

Ask the guy at FedEx.. I think they can ship it on dry ice.
