i have only known this guy for about 3 weeks his bday was last week wednesday, i want to get him something but i dont know what, he's not expecting anything from me.

If you're interested in each other, I would suggest you get him BOXERS shorts.

If you have only known him for three weeks and a week has passed, I would say that you really shouldn't give him a gift. Late gifts seem like an afterthought and you will look like you are just trying to gain brownie points. Wait until the next special occasion and after you have known him a little longer to give gifts.
