I am going to america next week and i want to know whether i can use my 230v GHD hair straightners out there!! I thought that the voltage in America was 110 but my sister took her straighteners out there and hers were 230v and they worked fine...please help, i dont want to ruin my straighteners but i would love to take them with me!

You need to contact the company and find out. All you need is an alternator to change the voltage, however, some appliances are not adaptable. I have a Chi in US that I know that I cannot use in Europe.

I dont think there is a law about hair straightener power in America, is there??? And I dont even know that??? Oh well, I guess if your sister could take hers, you could too. Whatever keeps your hair lookin good!

i went to america a few months ago and i have the same straighteners as you. mine worked fine so you shouldn't have any problems at all.
