Well, only time will tell if he really feels that way, you'll know because he won't pressure you to have sex. Now, the fact that he's 7 years older is not the problem, the problem would be if you are under the age of 18. As long as you are 18 then age doesn't matter as long as you both see eye to eye and he respects your wishes.
If you like him then give him the chance, but if you're not sure abotu how you feel about him then just keep your distance, you don't have to like him just because he likes you.

yes would believe God always believe cause what GOd has to tell you young girls out there is true he doesn't want to you to have sex before marriage or you will create a sin of your on that why you need to go to heaven with your sin cup clean if god sees that your sin cup ain't clean then he will figure out what and where you need to go always ask someone before you do something or no that something bad is finna happen like sex this guy might want you to have sex i don't know you but at 13 no you don't need to be having sex and regardless if he does have a condom the answer is no too Young

I'm glad your saving yourself for marriage, but what in the world would a 20 year old man want with a 13 year old girl. I think you need to leave this guy alone because he obviously has some issues.

In my case I would believe him, age dosen`t really matter infact its better to marry someone atleast 5 to 10 years older. Atleast he has told you that he respect your wish so you can hold him to that, each time he persues the issue of sex b4 marriage always remind him about his promise.

You are naieve...If he's already in "love" with you he's saying that to get into your pants and I wouldn't beleive him. Of course you're the best judge of that, but I have my suspicions. Also it's NOT A SIN to have relations prior to marriage and don't ever let anyone have that level of CONTROL over you. You are free to choose and LOVE/LOVE Making is not sinful. There's nothing in the scirptures that says it has to have the Lord's (if there is one) sanction. If you do have sex prior to marriage than make sure you're protected...BE RESPONSIBLE (make sure he wears a condom and you're on the pill)! PEACE!

7 years is too much older. Maybe not if your 40 but teens..it's just not honest enough to commit to him. I saw search for people with a year or 2 of your age.

is he a christian too? don't be unequally yoked. You deserve a man of God that will help you grow with God. The bible says that iron sharpens iron. If hes not.. honestly i don't reccomend for you to date him, because its easier for him to pull you down than for you to pull him up. I think you should pray about it and see what God wants for you. He wants the best for you, and if you feel uneasy and don't feel peace with this guy, don't go for it. God has someone perfect just for you :)

If you're at least 18 or higher, it's true that 7 years difference isn't all that great.
