Can you give me an idea of the cost please?

We hired a VW microbus camper a couple of years ago and toured around Theme Parks in the Midlands/North. It was too small to be comfortable for a family of 4, and although it broke down on the first day, once it was fixed it was great fun!
It wasn't very expensive, but we had a reduction because of the problems - normally, they are not cheap. (£375 a week this year from the people we used).

Next time, I want a big vehicle with hot and cold running water and all the trimmings, and spend a couple of weeks in Canada.... might take a while to save enough for that...

Yes I have.

Depends what you call expensive - I would have paid the same for a cottage and have paid more for boat hire.

Yes it was worth it.

No I won't do it again as I have bought a motorhome as I enjoyed the holiday so much.
