I've been up all night sick with no sleep. I'm not scheduled to be at work till 11:30am and I called my boss at 8 am. I've had a migraine for the last 2 days and have been on medication that makes me drowsy and I told her this but she still wants me to come into work at 5 pm to 7pm. I think this is a load of crap, what do you all think? I think she is wrong for asking.

gee thanks for all the mature responses, at least kaz has some sense. Oh, and if by party you mean going to bed at 11 and doing nothing but tossing and turning and waking up with a migraine, yea, party was so fun I wanna do it all over again. And yes I have plenty of sick time as I never use it.

i had the same problem at a job, the very few times i did call in sick, they would pay this game, ok call back in three hours and lets us know when you'll be in, ok so when are you coming in the get this and this done, they even gave me crap about going to mmy cousins funeral, even after i rearranged my schedule so that no customers would be effected, needles to say i found somewhere else to work

I think it is unforgiveable of her to treat you so unkindly when you are ill. If you have a good record and are not known to take time off then you are under no obligation to drag yourself into work simply because this woman doesn't know how to do her job....of course, you could go and throw up on her shoes!
