First off, are you able to financially, physically, and emotionally take care of another person? If you are financially stable, then you might be able to get involved in the state foster care system in your area. You'll have to go through a series of classes and they'll want to inspect your home to make sure it's safe and clean before you become a foster parent.
Keep in mind if you want anything, praying isn't enough. You need to go out and get it.

adoption agencies can work with you to get an infant, even if the infant is from another country, but most people want to adopt infants. There are piles of children in the child welfare system that were not adopted as infants who have been praying as much as you want a child, for a mommy or daddy. In the past, most child welfare agencies would only allow married couples to adopt, but some have become more lenient since there are so many little children that are without the care of a real mother or real father.

There is nothing wrong with it. There are several children in this world that would love to have just one person care about them. If you have the money and time then by all means do it. I was in college when my cousin was in prison and had a baby. She was going to give it up for adoption and I would have taken the baby in a heart beat. Even though it ment being a single mom and in school. Her grandparents ended up keeping the baby until she got out fortunately. What if you get married and that person can not have babies? Follow what your heart says in this instance.

It takes two people to make a child because it takes two people to raise one.
Going out of your way to have a child alone is just selfish. sorry. you asked.

You could always adopt. I think that you need to find out why you have this strong desire. Love yourself first and if the opportunity presents itself, go for it.
