They try and convert everyone at all times, so being on this website just gives them another tool for annoying the hell out of people.

I feel like you are saying that somehow a Christian does not have the right to express our beliefs on here. This type of question just amazes me. Christians by nature are going to share what we believe, because whether you believe it or not we do care.
For instance, if you saw someone heading toward a destination that was dangerous, would you not have a moral obligation to try to talk them out of going there? Even if they don't believe in that destination?

religion is a passion that absorbs a person in entirety. Also they are taught to spread the word and they are afraid everyone who doesn't believe what they believe is going to hell. So they are trying to save as many people as possible.
The worlds religions are pretty powerful systems when it comes to recruiting. That is how they have stayed around for so long, when other religions have died out.
Current religions are no less far fetched than those of the past.

Yes, the ones who must interject every topic with some personally held belief are trying to convert. Also, and I think this is more important, they are trying to convince themselves that what they believe is the truth, the one and only truth. A secure person has no need to constantly prove they are right.

Know what this site is called? "Yahoo! Answers". You ask a question, people give answers. That is the basic principle. Let me ask you a question, did you visit the other sub-divisions and see how many people are answering questions. Are they all zealots? If they are, we are too.

The religious radicals need a place to speak there feelings because no one else would listen to them if they talk to people in public.

You see, the questions are usually about personal problems and these can be solved through religious teaching. Anyway, you shouldn't be offended as they are all just trying to help out.

Because they have nothing better to do with their time. If they had a life outside of the fanatical sphere, they wouldn't be as they are. That is just the way of the world. Too many people with way too much time on their hands, so they amuse themselves by hosing your life. Welcome to religion.......freaky.

I'm one of the people that is saying that everyone has the right to their own beliefs, and I encourage people not to impose their beliefs on anyone else.
Of course, I do get my cracks in about Hell every now and then, but only when someone's imposing Christianity on us!!
