Yeah, religious people as well as atheists impose their beliefs and try to convince other people. They really are on the same level as religious people. "God exist"..."No, God does not exist"...

I think the very strong religious people preach more than the less religious people. But then again some people are just "chatter boxes" according to the Today's Show yesterday. Some people just like to talk and hear themselves speaker, or they have low self esteem and feel the need to talk.. I think there is a time and place when to discuss religious views. That is one thing that people just don't understand. Same with politics. You just don't discus those things at certain times like family dinner table or family events. Everyone has an opinion you have to be prepared to hear them if you are going to be talking about something so serious and controversial.

I agree. Both sides of the theological fence are trying to win converts. Some on both sides think we can all get along. I am one of those. I ask questions about topics I don't understand and want other peoples feedback on. If people ask about atheists and non-believers I asnwer them as objectively and truthfully as I can. There are those out there though that believe they are 100% right and that anyone who doesn't agree is either blind or deceived. Unfortunately Christians get a bad rap from the people who then go on to say if we don't open our eyes all we have to look forward to is fire and brimstone. I think we need less missionaries and more understanding between all the groups on here. But I find I'm in the minority there. Peace and love my friend.

You are right about that. Removal of Religion from schools started with an Atheist enforcing there non-beliefs on the majority who do accept some form of higher power.

Not only non-religious people but religious people impose their beliefs on others. This is offensive and insulting to anyone who has a mind of his/her own. You have a right to your beliefs and I have a right to mine. You do not have to believe as I do, nor do I have to believe as you do. Any questions?

In my opinion the difference I see is when I was young people threatened me to a lifetime of Hell and Eternal Damn-nation. I've never once told someone that they are wrong, or that what they believe is going to damn them in any way. Oh and I am a Satanist, you should do some research because we aren't bad people who just sit around talking about death and ridiculing those who don't follow our ways.

Everyone has the right to express their opinions and believe what they want but at least non religious people don't go door to door trying to convert and convince people that their way is the only way.

you seem to be answering your own question. i read a lot of people asking about religion. i don't read about non-religious people. Everybody on this site just express their honest opinions. it's up to you to filter thru and decide for yourself because eventually you're the master of your own fate. Nobody should dictate or impose their will or beliefs on you .you are dim-witted. Go to spellcheck, your spelling is awful and your questions are vague due to p;oor grammar.go back to sch.

Odd ... I :
o ... have never been approached on the street by an atheist trying to give me an atheist pamphlet.
o ... have never had an atheist call me on the phone or knock on my door seeking to deliver the message of atheism.
o ... have never seen an atheist standing by classrooms at the university calling all of the girls who walk by whores and sluts ... including an ex-girlfriend of mine (I have seen Christians do this though).
o ... have never had an atheist tell me I would be spending all eternity in Hell because I did not conform to his/her religious/lack-of-religious beliefs.
