Will a female dog still bleed after she gets fixed? I got a 3 year old female labador retreiver and when she bleeds it drips on the floor and i have a hard time getting it off the carpet so i have to rent a cleaner thing for my carpet and keep her in one room on a hardwood floor.

No -- one of the great things about spaying (other than protecting your female's health and preventing unwanted puppies) is that they no longer bleed. The uterus is removed, so the body no longer has heat cycles.

The best thing to do is get your girl spayed!

I have a two year old Black Lab and she was spayed/neutered when I got her. She has never once shown any signs of menstration, and has never bled anywhere. I Love Labs! Get her fixed you're doing the world, and her a favor. It helps temperment, etc...

Below is an article on the pros/cons of spay/neutering. It goes into detail about under 12 months (early) of age or after (late). Yours is mature already so there is no concern with that, so in your case it is only a good thing.

no she wont bleed or come in to season as then they spay a female animal they take away the uterus so there is nowhere for the blood to come from.

Once your dog is spayed she will never drip or bleed again.
And by having it done you will lower her irsk for mamary cancer.
