I will buy my Canon EOS 20D ... And I still have a 35mm Canon EOS 3000 with some lens.

All lens are quite new .. and I plan to keep them.. and use in my new camera.

Any EOS EF lens will work on any EOS camera digital or film. The EOS EF-S lens that will come with your 20D (if you buy a kit) will not work on you Film camera or any Full sized sensor Digital like the 5D or the 1Ds Mark II. So you are better off getting a body only 20D and use the lenses you own. Remember thou that you have to multiply the size of your lenses by 1.6 for the smaller APS sized sensor on the 20D.

Don't invest in the smaller "digital" lenses because in the future the full sized sensors will become the norm and your investment in "digital" lenses will be worthless.

18-50mm? If I undergo in options that is a Sigma lens. The Sigma and Tamron lenses for digital cameras do no longer have a protrusion on the decrease back, and may in good structure onto a 35mm movie EOS or EF-M without inflicting damage. besides the undeniable fact that the photo circle projected will purely cover area of the body (round a million/2 of the realm). A Canon EF-S lens besides the undeniable fact that gained't bodily in good structure on an EOS 35mm digicam, EOS 1D/s, 5D, 10D, D60, D30 and beforehand digital EOS cameras. it is because the EF-S lens protrudes out on the decrease back, to provide a shorter decrease back concentration (hence the S). even as a third party 18-50mm lens ought to in good structure on a 35mm digicam without adverse it. i won't be able to say that doing so is counseled. movie lenses alongside with the 28-90mm are very less expensive and attainable. And the 50mm f1.8 is purely £ninety and is one among Canon's extra ideal appearing lenses.

No problem, the 3000 and the 20D both have the EF lens mount.
