Obviously child care such as in a child care facility. Other places you may not have thought of are: nanny in a family. Child care provider in a firm that is progressive enough to have it. Care for other ages such as mentally retarded adults or in a nursing home. Another place would be in a hospital children's ward, although you are not a nurse, they do often need someone, for instance, to hold the preemies. If you are on your own, you may find some exciting international nanny opportunities on the web. There are agencies which place you in jobs. Home care for a sick, retarded, handicapped or elderly person. Or stack up the babysitting jobs. There will definitely be families around who want better 9-5 care for their children than a day care center allows. Other places that might need child care would be a church or community group, a large store, or any kind of training facility. Here the internet is your friend. Go to the public library if you don't know how to use it, and sign up for a time when the librarian can help you. Then 'google' under child care and your city or town and state. Or under managed care. I wish you luck!

Most day care jobs will hire you and train you. However, most of these jobs are minimum wage or a little bit over that. If you're interested in pursuing a job working with kids, I strongly encourage you to go to school and major in early childhood development or early childhood education...you could even become an elementary school teacher or child psychologist (that would take the most amount of school, but you might find it the most rewarding).
Another option that might be available to you provided that you have a high school diploma is to become a substitute teacher. All you have to do is go to your local school district and ask what the requirements are...or if they have a website, look it up on the website. There's no guarantee you'll work every day, but the pay is probably the best you can get for having no formal training.
