"Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and came to be in the likeness of men. More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."-Philippians 2:5-11. The word "other" is in brackets in order to clarify Jesus' position due to the context of surrounding scriptures such as "gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God".

(continued) Also, hebrew/greek sentences were constructed differently and some words were missing in scrolls. However, the context of the scriptures remains the same. Here's the next: "Look! My servant will act with insight. He will be in high station and will certainly be elevated and exalted very much."-Isaiah 52:13. "Therefore because he was exalted to the right hand of God and received the promised holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out this which you see and hear."-Acts 2:33. And finally: " far above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name named, not only in this system of things, but also in that to come."-Ephesians 1:21. These are translated from the New World Translation for clarity but feel free to compare it with your own bible.

I should have mentioned Ephesians 1:20 for more clarity, which states "with which he has operated in the case of the Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places". Sorry.

To "New Creation": You may want to research your translation. How can the individual that has never ceased to exist not only become human (which is like putting the sun in a bottle), but also die. Something that is nothing can't ressurect itself. Where is the logic? God sustains everything in existence.

To people who believe the trinity doctrine: How can someone be at your right hand and be you as well? How can you exalt yourself?

One scripture that confuses people is at Revelation 19:6 in which it is refering to Jesus' coming which states, "And upon his outer garment, even upon his thigh, he has a name written, King of kings and lord of lords." Keeping in mind several other scriptures in the bible, wouldn't it be wise to conclude that this scripture relates Jesus' position in comparison to rulers on earth. I believe this let's us know that it takes more than one scripture to gain accurate knowledge of the truth.

These scriptures are indicative of the fact that Jehovah God and Jesus Christ are two separate entities. Jesus is the SON of God, not God himself. They help to prove the falsity of the pagan trinity doctrine.

You may want to read it in New Living Translation to understand better:

Phil 2:
5 Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had.
6 Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God.
7 He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form.
8 And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal’s death on a cross.
9 Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Personally, I'm more familiar with the King James Version:

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Basically, it says to me that we are to remember what Jesus gave up--basically everything--and that we should do the same for Him. It reminds us that by giving up everything, God exalted Jesus even more as a result.

I don't understand the translation using the word "seizure". To me it make's no sense. That is why I quoted the King James Version above.

Two men went to the synagogue
To offer up their prayers to God
Men as different as could be
A publican and a Pharisee
And as they went along their way
The Lord did listen to them pray

The Pharisee looked up with pride
"Thank You, Lord" he loudly cried
"For I am a man among the best
Separated from the rest
I am better than most other men
Even than this publican"

The publican fell to his knees
"Lord, have mercy on me, please!
For my sin I bear the blame
Oh, Lord, I cannot hide my shame!
Forgive a sinner such as I!
Oh, Lord, I beg You, hear my cry"

Which prayer, then, did the Good Lord hear
Which heart the Holy One hold dear?
Who went back down to his place
Justified before God's face
"Humble yourself", the Savior said
For the Lord will raise the humble head

Be humble and one day you will be exalted (in heaven).
