two nights ago my dog went pee on our kitchen floor during the night, I didn't know he had done it until the next morning when I woke up late & I ran into the kitchen to get stuff ready, I slipped & fell flat on my back (you know like in the cartoons) not only could I not move (I had thrown out my back) I was lying there naked in my puppies pee! I got a day work for it - (only cause I couldn't move) but I was soooo mad!

I had a Black Lab mut named Jake. Looked just like a Lab but skinny and really tall. I swear he was the only Lab who didn't know how to swim.

I took my nephew (4) and Jake to a creek to go swimming on Spring day and I looked up and my nephew was being taken away in the current. So I jumped in fully clothed. Jeans, shirt, socks AND shoes. I grab him and turn to go back to shore and I see Jake flailing about in the water!!!!! He tried to go after my nephew BUT HE COULDN'T SWIM!!!!! So I had my nephew under one arm and my dog under the other. I had to rescue them both. Then had to hike 2 miles back out of the woods to my car, soaking wet with a soaking wet dog and child

My dog has since died and my nephew is now 10. He makes me tell that story all the time!

When my shih-tzu Macey was younger she was walking down the hallway. My brother popped out from the entrance of the hall and Macey poo'd on the floor. So he literally scared the sh*t out of her. (She was only the size of a small Beanie Baby at the time).
Also, my dog Solo (Black Lab) likes to slide around like an otter during the Winter. It happened when I was making a snow angel with my friend's daughter. I was showing her how to do it. Then somehow my dog Solo got outside. He ran straight for us and fell on his shoulder. He slid. I guess he thought it was fun, because he still does it to this day.

My golden retriever Riley is one of the most laid back dogs I have ever met. He never growls or barks unless I egg him on when we're playing.

One night my sister brought home a life-sized cardboard cutout of Austin Powers that a freidn got her for her birthday. She put it in the kitchen and left it there for the night, and later that night my Riley decided it was a major threat and started barking and growling at it like he was going to shread it.. He only quit when my sister came downstairs and folded it up and put it away. Wherever she moved it he followed it snarling... must have been the bad teeth.....

Years ago, our mixed breed Samantha ran off while my father and I were walking her off-leash in a local park. I freaked out, and we went around asking everybody we ran into if they'd seen her. Finally, we decided to go back down to the car which was parked on a side street. She was sitting by the car, patiently waiting. When she saw us, her ears went up, her tail wagged, and it almost looked as if she was smiling...she was so happy to see us!

Oh, and whenever we'd say,"Walk?" she would race over to the hall closet and paw at it. We'd open it, and she'd stand up and paw at her leash. Then she'd race around the family/dining room, just so eager to go out for a walk.

I still miss her. She's been gone for 14 years.

One time my dog Keno decided to get nosy and got into my husbands tackle box, she bit down on one of the fishing lures and ended up with the hook, spoon and feather hanging from her mouth. It was sort of funny to see her that way, everyone laughed and said she looked like she was ready for fishing. I tried to remove the hook from her mouth myself. But I feared I might hurt her more so I took her to the vet.And they thought it was hillarious.

our boxer (Xena) has done so many funny things one would have to be christmas morning...

Every christmas we would throw the wrap in the air and just let her attack it and shred it. Well last christmas morning she had her own stocking and inside was a pig ear in wrapping paper...me and her walked in the living room and I said "Xena, whats that?" and she ran over to her gift, pulled it out and unwrapped it all by herself lol I miss her so much (we put her to sleep in April)
